it's funny, i spent extra on this trip to stay a forth night thinking it would actually let me relax. and like yeah, it certainly meant i didn't feel rushed, but... i really am looking forward to going home

#though maybe that's the point of a good vacation?#you go and have your fun and then you realize you actually enjoy your little life and get a bit homesick?#and then when you go back you're both a bit refreshed and also thankful to be back to your normal things?#idk. i haven't slept this well in months (thanks to the walls at home getting violent) but i also miss being home #i'm still a ball of anxiety but at least at home i know what kind of trouble happens around my apartment #here in the snow in the middle of nowhere i KNOW nothings gonna happen but at night every time i look at a window #i can't help but expect there to be a fucking face in the dark looking at me #at least at home it's just homeless folks in acute mental distress to worry about #i'd feel much better here with a guard cat like my old lady sady #when things DID come out of the dark she was always there at the sliding glass door ready to fight #it's funny that i'm even looking forward a little bit to going back to work on monday #with the unpredictability of the weather there's a slight chance i won't be able to go home tomorrow #if the roads aren't clear enough i'll have to crash at a hotel and wait it out #but i'm pretty sure it'll be fine #personal
