#ohio#fuck the haters. ohio is pretty good#if you've never gotten to spend a night on an appalachian mountain you don't get to talk shit about ohio. imo (in my ohio)#i think the state that deserves the real meme hate is indiana#no redeeming features sorry#i grew up in southeastern ohio and there is a magic there than cannot be replicated nor articulated#do you know how it feels to stand a top a small mountain and look down at a yard thats at a 45 degree angle and see millions of fireflies??#do you know what true darkness looks like? have you ever been to a town with a population of less than 20?#have you ever fallen asleep to the sounds of silence and spring peepers?#if no: yeah i know that's not an experience for everyone. for sure. but it was really impactful for me#it's the closest i ever got to experiencing a holy land and i was lucky enough to spend my summers there as a child#kenposting
