the protagonist, kevin ashford, is someone who has the ability to read text in any language beyond what they are at first glance and into what they truly mean.

one day, when reading a fantasy book, the author, iffaeh beam turns out to have used spells to encode messages into faer book to ask for help

fae are asking for help because a species named otherlings are about to attack their world nivelara

kevin takes this on and an adventure lies ahead of him. what will happen?
