Saw your tags, so thought you'd enjoy the knowledge that I'm actually playing with the idea of an outcome outside Vex either refusing or agreeing to give up her heart. It's a situation where, until she actively refused Saundor, he'd be able to just take her heart and try to get her to agree to the deal retroactively (because deal-making gets intense in the feywild). It ends with her refusing but still having lost her heart, with all the consequnces that entails fueling her guilt, anger, and trauma around the event.

Vex in canon has nightmares about it / dwells over it, but iirc only Vax really talks to her about Saundor and he mostly focuses on the bloody knife bit. Giving more weight to that fight and decision is such perfect angst and I love it!

I guess this unveils my Grand Plan a lil, but as a huge Cass fan maybe it was transparent I'd find a way to include her pft! AooD is fascinating because all characters start out Worse than canon due to circumstances, more entrenched in their respective flaws (which leaves room for more obvious growth!)

If you're looking for Cass though she won't be appearing for a while yet - but I do have her first appearance partially written!
