Is Ruby like Japan in its weapons laws. Like only the samurai class could carry around swords. Now this doesn't stop commoners from beating you to death with a stick. Or farmers from pocessing knifes, scythes, and axes (all farming equipment). But Mr. Akatsuki has a sword.

Is it stolen, did a business partner give it to him after he left as a "You and this thing have the same country of origin, right?" Is it his? Was he part of the samurai class?, as a family member, servent, or soldier.

Did he not like living in the Country of Turbulent Times, and leave to become a scholar? Was that unattainable and he settled on the book market?

Why does he have that sword?

Two things….

Kagari’s country has been officially announced that it’s aka Ruby. To my knowledge, this is the first time it’s been mentioned on EN server and for some reason it makes me weirdly excited….probably because I’m looking towards meeting our maniacal ginger prince in EN 😆

Oooh... Thinking about Kagari and Ruby..

Ikepri doesn't have a defined time period, the game says late mideval period, but the technology (obsidian has PISTOLS without matches?? plus the carriages and architecture), fashion (everybody lmao), and social issues shown (class divides and democracy) more mimics the 18th to the 20th century. In particular, Kagari's design mimics the era around the start of the Meiji and Boshin War. Ik they probably did this to keep him separate from the Ikesen designs, but honestly seeing Ruby the lense of pre-Meiji era would be so cool.

For those who don't know, Meiji was the time period after the Edo when Japan began to modernize/trade with the west openly, feudalism ended, Samurai were removed from the class system, and the Boshin War was the last holdout of Samurai on the island of Ezo (now Hokkaido).

I don't think that Ikepri will go too hard on mimicking this specifically, but I think it would be really amazing to see some of the social issues and change in the Meiji reflected in Kagari's route.

I wonder what would’ve happened if Kogyoku didn’t exist. I suppose Ruby would just be replaced by “a country in the east” like they used to in Ikepri before Kogyoku was introduced.

Ok here is Ikepri!Amaryllis

Ikepri!Amaryllis prefer to close her eyes, but she is well acquaintances with Emma as she is one of her regular.

She was originally from Ruby but came to Rhodolite to escape the civil war.

Her work is an apothecary, as she is used to treating patients that have been poisoned

She is not loyal to any kingdoms, but more over staying on neutral grounds than getting herself in trouble

I very much want to entertain the idea of a ikepri mini series where the OC and her brother are royalty visiting from a country like Ruby (one that is centered on Chinese culture, since I myself am Chinese) and of course, they bring their messy and playful family dynamics across the sea and of course, OC falls in love BUT I should refrain because I have toooooooooo many other thoughts roaming in my head

Azel Radwan - IkePri Spoilers/What We Know(?)

Here is a “working” list of everything we know about Azel. I will update this post as more information becomes available. Information is based upon Yves’ & Licht’s Act 2. I’ve not completed Chev or Leon’s Act 2 yet, but if any of you have and would like to contribute, please feel free to comment, and I’ll add these this to the working list. This is what we know so far:

He is the 2nd prince of the royal family and the current living god.

He LOVES food & money (it is unclear as to why, but he often asks for these in forms of tribute).

It is assumed that he is on par with Chevalier in terms of brains and foresight, since others doubt him truly being a god. (If he’s on par with Chev then by default he is with Gilbert as well imo.)

He may have the ability to appear in one’s dreams.

He is very haughty and hates sinners and heretics (so he says).

He has an ultimate goal hence his alliance with Ruby and Achroite. (Based on Yves’ route).

He claims to hate blood shed, but has no qualms with watching a battle.

Though he is second prince his status is that above the king - as he is revered and worshipped as a god.

He does not prefer social functions such as large banquets but will go for free food (or so he says).

He truly despises the concept of romantic love.

Though he is a god. Azel is ALWAYS alone (in the sense that he never has any attendants or devotees around him.) In fact, his second court (a dilapidated temple), is solely for himself as well. 

He makes frequent visits to the city to offer guidance to its people. He divines and guides the people from the most minute detail to the highest political decision making and he is NEVER wrong. 

He has performed “divinings” since childhood. In fact, Azel states that the triple alliance between Ruby, Achroite and Tanzanite was due to his divining.

Azel isn’t beneath blackmail exaction/incurrence.

He is a bit of a prick. 

He is a business man through and through. If you want information from him, give him coin.

It seems that he’s restoring the dilapidated temple he ordained as the second court (for his personal use). Though he’s not doing so by his own money, but others - like Licht.

Although (& this is highly theoretical), he plays the part of a divine being incarnated. It’s indicative that he is only playing a part because it’s forced on him.

He’s highly mysterious and you never know his intentions or what he’s thinking, (unless he’s blatantly asking for money). However, he can seem transparent when he’s not really being transparent.

The High priest is his father/grandfather, and Azel also refers to him as a sly old man. It’s clear that Azel doesn’t like him.

“please, help me?” you clasped your hands together in a pleading manner as you stare up into Licht’s bright ruby red eyes. he had such soft and delicate features you nearly envied him for being a natural beauty.

with a sigh, Licht shook his head for the umpteenth time as you pouted, a dejected look falling onto your face. he really dislikes saying no to you, along with the way your sad eyes like a puppy looked ready to burst with tears any second.

recently he had been busy and you wished for him to take a break. each time he said no, although a bit of hesitation growing before each response the more you asked, you were seriously concerned he was getting no sleep.

you pleaded once more, wrapping your arms around his torso, staring up at him and momentarily being distracted. “you’re so incredibly beautiful.” you mutter, this time thinking of more than just his looks but rather the determination he had to work hard.

ever so slightly his ears were tinted red as he tried to push you off, “you’re too pushy.” he mumbled as you giggled softly, a slight smile adorning your face as it was now Licht’s turn to stare. You had missed how he was. he had always called you pushy when you first met.

Some lore about ikepri!Amaryllis and Ikevamp!Amaryllis since I haven’t add much to them unlike Ikesen!Amaryllis

I will start with Ikepri!Amaryllis before going to Ikevamp!Amaryllis.

I hinted that Ikepri!Amaryllis belongs to a noble family/clan. Her being a girl means she is nothing more but a tool for her family.

Her older brother who was the next to become the head of the family after their father; taught her about medicine and poison knowing how their position in the family can be a life and death situation.

She was taught to be a proper lady at a young age, it was when she was about to become an adult that she was told that she would be sent to another clan to marry into.

Of course, she was terrified with the idea of being wed to a complete stranger. But she had to push through knowing how important this marriage can be between her and her future husband clan.

She was wed by the age of 18, her husband didn’t bother to touch her as he already had a mistress that he love. Ikepri!Amaryllis was thankful for that and able to keep her chastity. During that time of joining her husband’s family, she performed her duties as the lady of the clan.

She did kept in touch with her older brother, but knowing that there is a civil war in Ruby, he was unable to help her since he was busy with leading the fight against their army. It was only after their father died that their relationship became strained.

Her older brother which is now head of family became different. Most of their siblings were sent to other families or died in battle. Their clan fell the moment when Amaryllis’s older brother died by the hand Kagari, the yaksha.

When she became 20, her husband didn’t have a need for her since her clan is no more. He divorced her but gave her money for compensation. She is thankful for that because she no longer needs to play a role in the upper class.

With her knowledge of medicine and poison, she open her clinic with that money. Of course, those who are knowledge of medicine are hold in high regard, in some cases, sent to the battlefield at the rear guard to tend the wounded. It was where she met Kagari, her brother killed.

She would have been angry, but she already finished grieving her brother that she started to heal. Kagari knew she was related to the head clan he killed but let it go since she was beneficial to the royal army.

They didn’t interact much other than being doctor and patient. When she was 24 years old, she moved to Rhodolite to have a fresh start. It was where she decided to keep her eyes close majority of the time. And it was where she met Emma before she became Belle.
