your boyfriend of six months, sunghoon, who you met a few years ago at the dance studio, was an introvert. so he took some time to get comfortable with you, and he tried his very best to make you feel loved, but at his own pace. and you respected it, you respected him. because he treated you very well. he's a shy dude, but after warming up to each other, he talks, a lot.

but it isn't your fault that you awfully wanted to re-create the numerous dances you see couples online doing. because, it wasn't you who wanted to keep seeing them, it's the stupid app that kept on recommending them. and you had to be honest, because you knew how adorable sunghoon would look, making the heart with you, or linking arms and swinging in circles with you. it made your heart ache at how sunghoon would totally die a little on the inside to do this, because maybe you would be pushing too hard.

but he was a dancer, so this barely 20 seconds video, shouldn't be that big of a deal for him, right?

wrong. you were wrong. you now stood in front of a very, very, flustered and shocked boyfriend, who was stuck in a dilemma whether to agree to do it or not. for him, he really wanted to do it, he did. but, a part of him held him back, screaming 'do you really want to break the third wall of you being hot and intimidating to your obviously very cool girlfriend?'. and for him, it was a fair reason. these past months, even if he's been a pro at making you believe that he was and is a tough guy who will protect you at all costs, that claim was only true to him. because you found his little acts of service cute instead.

"you want me to do what?", sunghoon asked again, looking straight to your eyes, to make sure that you're being serious.

"please, please, please. hoonie, it's barely twenty seconds. i promise it will be quick! it's so cute..", you drew out the last phase as your voice became quieter, while you shot your most-convincing, oscar-winning look at him.

"but i'm not cute! i'm your tall, very strong and, and-", before sunghoon could add another word, you interrupted him.

"okay fine! i think you don't love me anymore. this was supposed to be a cute memory of us but i don't think you even wanna keep it!", you put on a faux act, knowing it would win him over, as you crossed your arms, turning your face away from him.

she did not just pull that card. sunghoon was in disbelief. how can you literally judge the strength of his love for you off of a mere video? he can do the dance. and he will, for you.

"and.. that's.. it!", you ended the video as it started saving it in your storage. you kept the phone on the table, as you quickly stole a kiss from sunghoon's lips. "thank you so much for agreeing, baby! you made me very happy, and for that, i dub thee, the greatest boyfriend on earth! and with that, i invite you to a date with me, to the restaurant nearby, so celebrate your promotion!", you said, hugging him tightly.

sunghoon's ears were now blood red, but he didn't understand one thing.. what boyfriend was he before then?

"baby?", he asked as you hummed.

"what boyfriend was i before? was i not great enough?"

"well.. you did pretend to be cold and mysterious around me..", you drew the sentence slowly, smiling to yourself.

so she knew? well fuck.
