man. i love c!quackity so fucking much. the butcher army arc is one of my all time favourites - it really showcases both techno and quackity's strengths, and i wanted to bring those through in this build. first of all - he's absolutely not a fighter. however, he barely has any actual damage spells (similar to wilbur) and relies much more on his social skills and his more tricksy spells to get by. as a whisper bard, he conceals his classes, maybe even going so far as to constantly have mask of many faces up to hide his more obvious fallen aasimar features! i just had to give him mask. he's been so many people.
whisper bard specifically came about partly because i already had an eloquence bard (wilbur), partly because they're very social campaign focused, and partly because the words of terror ability is absolutely something that he used in canon. (he used it on techno during their fight, but techno passed the wisdom save.) mantle of whispers also plays into his disguise thing!
fiend warlock. i wavered about taking this out, but ended up sticking with it as it was in the original build. this specifically is the reason why i've never done a schlatt build - he's the patron. originally tubbo was also going to be a warlock of schlatt, but i'm glad i changed it. i just like warlocks! he's the only warlock so far of the mcyt builds, because they come with plot built in and most of the time it's hard to work in, but with quackity i'm pretty sure it works.
fallen aasimar is the only thing that's changed about this build. originally, i made him a scourge aasimar that never used his ability except in incredibly dire circumstances like the techno duel, but after some consideration i switched it to fallen. it fits with the wings that people tend to give him, but also fits with the fact that he's never been known for flying - he just can't anymore! how did he fall? who knows! did it have something to do with schlatt? maybe!
design wise, this was... actually kind of hard? i wanted the focus to be sort of psuedo-historical, more so than other designs in the series, which is what led to the breeches that, so far, no one else has. i gave him the suspenders from his current canon design because i love suspenders, and the cropped suit jacket instead of a doublet to hit that combo of modern and historical. the metal eye is an ersatz eye, which is an actual dnd item! the hat situation was... by far the hardest part of this design. i ended up genuinely not being sure, but overall i preferred the beret, so that's the main design, but i added the other two to the post just for fun.
