im surprised the word "inkfish" never really caught on in the english-speaking splatoon community as a shorthand for "inklings and octarians," akin to "イカタコ" (ikatako) in JP. usually i see "cephalings" or "cephalopods"

"inkfish" even gets used in game by flow.

plus the mouthful of a word, "cephalopods", still doesnt accurately encompass our turf-warring inklings and octolings alone, there are other kinds of cephalopods that dont use ink in the splatoon world. so. can we make "inkfish" more of a thing
