LET ME YELL ABOUT CONS AND COSPLAY bc its my happy place and im trying VERY HARD to not talk nonstop about it and piss off my friends

I have!!! Two big cons in 2020!!!! (plus other small ones bc i am a weenie and can’t avoid the con circuit for too long) One I’m roadtripping for the millionth time and one I’m flying to!! Which Ive never done even though I’ve been doing cons for almost 12 years bc money

Con one is in less than TWO MONTHS and it’s my favorite weekend of the year and I’m!!!! So excited!!!!

Im doing 5 costumes (but only one of them is completely new) and two group shoots. And one of them I organized which I’ve NEVER DONE

I’m doing a promare shoot and I’m SO EXCITED bc ITS PROMARE 

Im gonna be Lucia! Who is very obviously the best female character. But also wears the stupidest outfit of an anime character ever so thats gonna be an adventure to put on

And!!! And!!!! I’m organizing a Fruits Basket group which has been my dream since I was 16 and saw it done in the back of a Tokyopop volume lmaooo. Im remaking my entire tohru costume (which. i havent started but uh. shh.) and I bought a new wig and Im hoping against hope that Ill like how I look this time bc I’ve always hated my tohru. We have ten (!!!!!!!) people involved rn and we need 17 for a full cast so like. if you cosplay furuba hmu

The other 3 are small and not really important but I am doing them and Im excited. 

My friends are all cosplaying and im so proud and pumped im so glad we can all do this together! And I know a lot more people going this year which is cool

Including my ex. Last katsucon we did a couple cosplay...I really wanna see her bc tbh I think we were meant to be together in some way just DEFINITELY not as romantic partners. I wish we could be friends but since I initiated the breakup thats up to her so idk

Then Im going to a summer con, which I havent done in years, and Im flyyyiiiiing. Im hoping to host a panel there with my friend from Seattle who I have met in person only once. I love them a lot and Ive known them since I was like 12 so I’m READY FOR THAT. If all goes well I’ll be wearing Rin with a sign that says “Fuck Akito” and they will be Shigure with a sign that says “gladly”.

I miss the cosplay community here so much, I don’t even post cosplay here anymore. Which SUCKS bc as much of a trash fire as this place is its ideal for cosplay, unlike instagram, which sucks for it but is unfortunately the common platform to use rn

Plug for my insta in that case I guess? I post here more but I post cosplay and selfies there a lot bc thats like...literally the only thing instagram can do. I also want more cosplay friends hint hint

The point is IM EXCITED and I have nowhere to put this energy so I dumped it here. Pls talk to me about cosplay. I need....to yell as though Im a highly caffeinated 3rd grader
