#2018bestnine for me. Life conspired to slow my tea activity in the latter part of the year, but I still had some amazing experiences (mostly not captured by the photos above). These included starting my own basic pumidor, finding a Sydney tea friend crazier than I am (@spacepirate1), visiting a number of tea houses abroad (@guanyinteahouse, @redblossomteacompany, @imperialteacourt, @floatingleavestea and @phoenixteashop to name a few) and meeting some Seattle-based tea folk like @teadborg, @teavoyeur and @oolongowl. Also delighted to discover new local tea places like @foursisterstea and @at_tea_duo, run several events for my work tea club (including one at @topotea) and attend the @sydneyteafestival, where I was able to catch up with many existing tea friends and meet @cuppachahq and pu'er anthropologist Jinghong Zhang for the first time. Special thanks to @teashirtsau for being a pillar of the local tea community in Sydney (well, Australia really). Found @imperialteacourt in SF and smashed through some of their teas before heading home tomorrow. From top to bottom: 'old bush' shui xian wuyi yancha, he kai shan raw pu (not sure of age but it was pretty green), and 30 year aged ripe. Teas were quite good and shop has very nice traditional decor! (at Imperial Tea Court)
