something that drives me insane on a relatively regular basis as a body jewelry understander is talking to people who have sensitive skin who are like "oh well I just can't wear any earrings without my ears getting inflamed" and I say "well what have you tried" and they say "well I've tried sterling silver and I've tried gold..." and it's like. ok. I don't know how gold and sterling somehow got spun by the jewelry industry as being especially good for sensitive skin but whenever I'm like "well have you tried implant grade titanium" they're always like "no....... but I've tried sterling silver... and it didn't work ..." like. I don't know how this narrative about sterling silver somehow got so strong but when they put pins in your fucking legs when you snap your leg in half are those pins made of sterling silver or are they made of implant grade titanium or surgical steel????????? HELLO. HI. YOU MIGHT BENEFIT FROM TRYING IMPLANT GRADE TITANIUM I AM JUST SAYING

Medical devices should not require an iOS or Android app to work. It took me twelve fucking minutes to set up and get my phone to connect to my migraine treatment device, 12 minutes during a horrendous migraine and I had to fight with my phone to get it to work instead of pressing a fucking button on the device. It might need a small controller to change strength but thats not fucking difficult to add.
Relying on a phone is bullshit: what if I'm out of battery? what if bluetooth is broken or something? what if I'm in too much pain to get the treatment app to work defeating the purpose? What if I'm paranoid about privacy so chose a non iOS/Android phone? What if I have issues with smartphones so use a classic cell phone? I know people that require that.
Requiring a disabled person to have iOS/Android in order for treatment to work is an unnecessary and borderline discriminatory practice.
Edit: After seeing all the personal anecdotes in comments reblogs and tags, I've come to a new conclusion— it is discriminatory.

Quantum risk is real now: How to navigate the evolving data harvesting threat - Help Net Security
In an era where data security is paramount, the recent revelations about firmware backdoors implanted by Chinese government-backed hackers serve as a stark reminder of the evolving threat landscape. BlackTech is infiltrating routers to gain undetectable backdoor access to the networks of companies in the US and Japan. This incident underscores the vulnerabilities in our digital infrastructure,…

Odile's Disclaimer
Prev / Next
START
Wanted to try a few more styles since this update takes place in a different time and dimension than the rest of the comic. The usual style will be used in the next update. (personally, I actually like the style. Nice and low effort, but still pretty. Especially since it adheres to the sketch aesthetic that, unfortunately, is lost once I start on lineart and shading)
Also like somehow Odile and Siff became muppets in the last panel? I swear, just like the Grinch face for Odile in part 2, it is entirely unintentional. But hey, I like the style shift. It adds to the experience :D.
The last two panels of Odile grabbing the textbox and attempting to beat Siffrin with it are inspired by an ISAT comic that I still love and smile at every time I come across on tumblr. I can't find it now, but once I do, I will link to it on this post. It's too hilarious and beautiful, not to mention it.
*Edit* @thatguy99998 linked the post to me! Extra thanks for finding it! I was searching for it last night but I posted my comic pages so close to midnight I didn't have the strength to keep looking.
Here is the post that inspired me by @bluebeads-art~
Odile grabbing the textbox (text bubble in this comic's case) ended up being different than I remembered, but that is good. I am glad it was not a one-for-one, as I do try to be creative.

R2R stomping – are you ready to run? - Check Point Research
Research by: Jiri Vinopal Highlights Check Point Research (CPR) introduces a new method for running hidden implanted code in ReadyToRun (R2R) compiled .NET binaries, R2R stomping. We explain the implementation of R2R stomping with a focus on its internals. The resulting problems of the R2R stomping technique will affect the work of the reverse engineers and security researchers. CPR details…
