I always imagined that my Warden, Mariah Brosca, has quite a few tattoos, even though I kept forgetting to include them whenever I drew her...

So, the natural solution was to just make one drawing that shows all of them, and then never mention them ever again!

Here’s a brief description of her ink, to let people know that I put some serious thought into this and it wasn’t (just) an excuse to draw some cute redheads:

Casteless Brand - Mariah got this one when she was young, as is mandatory for all Casteless. 

Finger Rings - These were used in the Orzammar Carta to indicate a member's rank. Mariah has three of them, which indicates a low-average rank. 

Grey Warden Motto + Griffin Wings - Mariah got this large back tattoo after curing her Calling and leaving the Wardens, to serve as a reminder of what she once was. The wings symbolize her newfound freedom. 

Flower Sleeve - This elaborate tattoo was done by a famous tattooist in Val Royeaux, which Mariah got to celebrate her marriage to Leliana. The white rose represents Mariah (the flower from Leliana's vision), the red rose represents Leliana, and the orange flower in the middle is an Andraste's Grace, which symbolizes the Maker bringing the two of them together. 

The Nug - Mariah doesn't remember how or where she got this tattoo (or anything else about the night before, for that matter), but she thinks it’s quite cute! The fact that pink ink is incredibly rare in Thedas makes it all the more mysterious...
