Should start answering these as soon as I see them because otherwise I wait too long to do those big queues.

Uhhh, I try not to speculate, but "Wishmaker" makes me think of "birthday wish" (do they have those in France? i feel like they don't because otherwise the show would've been wished away by now for giving Paris a bad name) so part of me wonders if this is the episode:

- that goes with that one screenshot of Luka and Marinette with Aaaaaadrien in the background

- that confirms that Luka and Juleka are twins (because if they went with the decision to make them twins, I imagine there's an episode about it; inb4 the decision was made to make Marinette suffer/embarrassed in someway, like maybe she knows Juleka's birthday but not Luka's - gUys mArInEtTe dOeSn'T kNoW hIm oF cOuRsE sHe dOesN'T lOvE hIm - so she's blindsided by the whole thing)

I also see that the procode means it's after "Rocketear" and, if my current theory (not even a theory really but just Thoughts I guess) is accurate, also gonna speculate that Marinette learns about Alya telling Nino and either stops trusting her or impulsively tells Luka her secret afterwards out of spite (gotta downplay telling Luka in any way they can; fully expecting the episode to center around Adrien/the love square as well or constantly remind the audience that Lukanette is """dead"""; still waiting for Marinette to avoid Luka even though they've been in the same location multiple times now and been fine). She will be blamed for it probably for judging Alya over """one mistake""" or something that's """not even a big deal anyway.""" Also possibly Alya excusing her actions and being presented as in the right so Marinette will be told/convinced to tell Luka as an equivalent. idk I have many thoughts and fears.

I think if they do visit Stewjon it would probably be Albia's territory for Scotland Reasons. That said, I'm sure The Lady Agatha Heterodyne and her consorts The Young Baron Gilgamesh Wulfenbach and The Storm King Tarvek Sturmvoraus would be keen on inviting these sparky Jedi offworlders to visit Mechanicsburg.

Me on twitter responding to a tweet about the Dark Side caves lack of response to the question of Rey’s parentage.

Honestly, I never understood why people thought TLJ gave the answer to Rey's parentage. And I'm saying this as someone who was never much of a reysky fan.

The Dark Side caves in SW only shows kinda, sort the answer. In ESB Luke's sees his own face beneath Vader's helmet heralding both his own capacity for the Dark side and the fact that he's Vader's son. What he saw was true enough, from a certain point of view.

So what could Rey's vision in TLJ mean? Remember we're talking metaphors here. 

 Given that she spends the whole movie trying to foist off her role of hero on someone else, first Luke then when he refuses Kylo, it mirrors her own fear that she'll have to do this and do this alone.

Which again is kinda, sorta true. Neither Luke nor Kylo can pick up this job, or won't each for his own reason. And in great part because this is a story and Rey is one of the heroes and Luke is a side character and Kylo is the antagonist.

The job is Rey's, whether she want it or not. It might also be a mirror of her having to start saving not just herself, but others too. Rey from the beginning have been a fairly passive character.

First she's waiting for her family indefinitely, in TLJ she's trying to pass on the job of hero. The cave might in its own way be speaking of her need to step up and be the hero. But to do so she needs to confront both her loneliness and her need for other people's protection.

In fact this is a way where Rey's and Finn's respective arcs in TLJ mirrors each other. Neither think they can be the hero, neither wants to, but the galaxy needs them to be so. And each have to confront themselves to become that.

In Rey it's her loneliness and need for others to come back for her. In Finn it's his belief he can't make a difference. Both flaws in the characters that are understandable given their respective pasts, but in heroic fantasy such as SW such flaws in the heroes must be overcome.

It could also herald Rey's need to find and build her own belonging instead of depending on others to provide it for her. Either way, I'd say the cave vision have nothing to do with her family, apart from connecting to her need for belonging and for others to come for her.

Given that both Rey and Finn confront their greatest weakness in TLJ it could be interesting to see where that will lead them in #epsiodeix. For Rey I'm speculating that we'll see her build her own belonging in reforming the Jedi during the movie rather than after.

And for Finn it will be being the one who makes the greatest difference in the war against the First Order and Kylo Ren in #episodeix

Inb4 "But Kylo said". He was deliberately targeting her insecurities to get her to join him. Which is both obvious from the scene and Rian even said as much. Plus, Dark Sider. You're really expecting him to tell the truth? Okay, I have a metal tower in Paris I want to sell you.

In continuation and closing I’d like to add one thing. In spite of people trying to turn her into Luke 2.0 since TFA came out she is not and never have been him. Her character and arc was never about family directly, it was about abandonment and belonging. She could and still can be a Skywalker, a Kenobi or a freaking Maul and it would actually have little to no impact on her arc, because it is just as clear that her future belonging is never heralded as being her family. Even if she reunited with them, they are not her future. Instead that is being presented to us as being a mix of the Jedi and Finn. A community and a family she herself builds up.

If Finn’s arc is “we all can make a difference” - and it is - then Rey’s arc is “we cannot go back and we build our own place in this world”.
