"Ember--" he stares down at her. It's not cold-- he doesn't think it is cold but if she has to come and curl up next to him with a blanket, does it mean she's freezing? He doesn't like that idea at all and so he shakes his head quickly before grabbing a hold of her body and pull her onto his lap, wrapping the blanket more carefully around them afterwards. "Are you cold?" Confused and concerned would be the words to describe him right now. "God-- your skin is ice cold..." he peers down at her and presses his lips against her forehead to feel if she's cold there too. Negative. He keeps her in his arms though and makes sure to cover all of her body with the blanket - even her feet. "What the hell did you do?"

"Do you trust me?" The female’s words rang clear, but she still couldn’t grasp the question.

The witch had friends, of course, but it wasn’t often that she trusted them wholly. Enough to sacrifice important things for them. It wasn’t something she experienced often, seeing as she’d basically had to fend for herself for the past three centuries. So.. on saying that, it was an unfamiliar feeling.

"I.. I think I might, honestly. It’s strange and new.. trust." Eyelids flutter as her sentence slowly drawls, and she props her chin up with the palm of her hand. Maybe she does trust her. Perhaps this was what a true friendship felt like.

It was rather odd for her to ask such a question. Especially to someone she only knew so little of. Maybe it was to see what kind of reaction the other female would have to such a question. If the other asked the same question, she would probably just sneer and joke around to release some of the tension. But it did surprise her quite a bit for her answer.

Both of Jessica's eyebrows rose as she nodded her head. "Honestly, trust is a really weird thing." Her response seemed nonchalant but had a bit of seriousness to it. Thumb rubbing against a broken lighter, watching the sparks flare out slightly for a moment as she thought over her question once again.

"Thank you though." She spoke a tad bit sincere tone.
