Synopsis: At a high school entrance ceremony, high school student Kotoko Aihara, who isn't that smart, notices pretty boy Naoki Irie. She falls in love with him immediately. Kotoko initially doesn't express her feelings to him, but finally has a chance to tell him how she feels. Unfortunately, Naoki turns Kotoko down, saying "I don't like dumb women." One day, Kotoko Aihara's house is severely damaged by a meteorite. Then, Kotoko Aihara and her father decide to live with her father's friend. When Kotoko Aihara moves to her new temporary house, she is surprised to learn that Naoki Irie lives there as well.

My Rating: 8/10

My Review: I honestly love this drama. Now I admit it's kinda cliche and has that whole cold, uninterested male lead and one-sided love from the female lead. Also the whole hate to love story (kinda). But I just love it so much. The actors and actresses of every character makes it such an enjoyable drama. They make everything the characters do very believable despite being exaggerated (like a manga come to life haha).

My Fave Ship(s): Kotoko and Naoki (it took a while for them to grow on me though to be honest cuz he was such an ass), Shigeki and Noriko

Favorite Character(s): Kotoko, Satomi, Jinko, Yuuki

about purgatory?

after the harvey family suffered the loss of the father, satoshi, in pearl harbor, the japanese/polynesian family suffered through internment camp, despite satoshi being in the US navy and the family being american citizens. the eldest boys, shigeki and shigemi, decide to join the war when they come of age so they can leave the internment camps for good. while the boys are at war, the two youngest children, marshall and iris, go missing without context. not too long after, one of the twins comes home from the war early because he has signs of brain damage, and the other twin didn't make it. shigeki is discovered to have brain cancer, and commits suicide in the hospital after refusing chemotherapy. the mother committed suicide as well shortly after.

seventy-some years later, the family members start popping up one by one in purgatory as their bodies are found. families are often found at the same time; it's believed to be recurring in cursed families. in purgatory, everybody appears as a bipedal animalistic skeleton. when marshall first finds his way into purgatory, he's greeted by a fairly short looking feline called donny. unexpectedly, the two started dating. shigemi encounters his fiance, sherry, as she's doing a run around the town giving free coffee and hot chocolate to veterans.
