This is not an advertising ploy, the creation of diamonds from human hair - a commercial practice that has become a reality, which is in great demand!
The company from the Spanish Seville - IrisGem - takes hair from clients, turning them into diamonds cut by experts of Antwerp. This expensive service has already tempted a significant number of customers, the French weekly Courrier International reported.
To advertise their services, a little-known Spanish company uses the name of the soccer player of "all times and peoples" of the Brazilian Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele.
He personally sent the Sevillian chemists a strand of his graying hair, asking him to create a diamond for her beloved mother.
IrisGem specialists put clients' hair in high-temperature furnaces to extract carbon from keratin, from which human curls are 90%.
The carbon thus obtained is then loaded into a special diamond growing machine, the temperature inside the chamber reaches 1500 degrees Celsius, and the pressure is 45,000 times higher than the atmospheric pressure.
After a few weeks, the carbon crystallizes.
Then synthetic diamonds of amber, yellow, green, blue or white color are sent to the diamond capital of the world - Antwerp, where they are given this or that form and are cut according to the wishes of the customers. This process takes three to four months.

Well, because it is found in an area that is only 4km by 2km long- in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in the Manyara Region of Northern Tanzania. This would lead to an obvious assumption that Tanzanite is a very expensive gemstone. Well, it is, but not as much as diamond! Currently, the worldwide wholesale market for rough tanzanite is estimated at US$50 million If you are one who is looking at purchasing tanzanite in bulk for jewellery making, please visit us on www.irisgems.com
