So, after Mairimashita! Iruma kun chapter uh... checking notes ... chapter 364 - let me just ask one question

How many of the 13 crowns does Iruma have on his side right now without even knowing it? XD

Because now that Mephisto looked at him like a puppy with heart eyes and declared himself his guide should Iruma want it (the Kingmaker himself! which I assume is something that's actually quite special in a way that not even the 13 crowns could be) I think I'm counting:

Sullivan (obv, since chapter 1)

Amayrills (already proved that she would go full on mama bear over Iruma, see the entire ball thing)

Bachiko-sensei (now a crown)

Mephisto (one of the crowns and simultaneously something else that's far older than most demons and even respected by - most - Demon Kings)

Did I miss one. I feel like I missed one.

But even if I did miss one, that's already 4 top-rank demons who would throw down if you looked at Iruma wrong so at this point, I'm wondering if anyone could truly lay a finger on him tbh.

The funniest part of me is that Iruma is pretty damn oblivious about it XD

EDIT: And I didn't count Azazel Henri on purpose - while he definitely likes Iruma, there is also the fact that he is border control - theoretically, he would have to do something if ever came to light that Iruma is human. (also, the rage bursts he gets because Ameri likes Iruma lmao)

Okay, but let's talk for a second about accessibility in M!IK's Netherworld. First of all, I love, LOVE, that the characters in this manga are so heterogeneous in size and shape. I mean, look at MeiMei, they're as big as one of Amduscias's foot, and still taken very seriously :')

Tbh it kinda makes most other series look pretty boring - and I like it this way, the real world is heterogeneous and media should be to (imo). With that said, different shapes can be treated very differently, right? Say, think about making fat people pay for a bigger seat instead of making bigger seats where everyone is more comfy... Weird right? Specifically this panels really hit me:

It low-key sent me into a spiral, not gonna lie. "So, we are literal demons and technically we live in a ruthless world, but also we think about the needs of everybody and accomodate accordingly, because why wouldn't we" And that's not it! For instance, not all demons have tails, but all Babyls uniforms have holes for them, and who doesn't have one simply carries on with their life. (Also, the freedom to customize them... Top notch. And you can mix and match like Opera did, or wear a different one like Azz and Ameri, so no real binarism either ♡)

Honestly, if this is how the Netherworld is, I may just start to summon random demons and ask to be brought there, it's worth a chance if you ask me

Warning: Mairimashita! Iruma-kun chapter 352 spoilers (manga)

Can we talk about this? There's so many things going on:

Iruma is given a "special item that can only be used once and can summon whatever you want". From other shounen manga you kinda assume that this item will be saved for later for the arc climax when the MC is in a tight spot, but no, he uses immediatly

Which bring us to the second thing and that is Iruma is becoming more a demon by the day. He is becoming greedy, impatient, while still being a cinnamon roll which is awesome since we see him change but at the same time stay his self which is a hard thing to write IMO

And the most wholesome thing, what does iruma summon??? AZZ and CLARIN askfjsjkasdhjkasdf. Do you see Iruma's face when he says "There's something I really, really want" and on the next panel you see Clara and Alice beaming I can't- My heart-

There's also the world building going on in this chapter with the many ears race and the previous conversation with Bachiko but then i'll never be done yapping

I can't stress enough how good this manga is

(Tho it plays with my feelings since it makes me thing it'll go on the trio rute but that's just wishful thinking... anyways let's not dampen the mood....)
