I've been in enough fandoms to know that this whole "radahn was beating malenia" thing is going to be one of those "fandom delusions" that will keep going on and on no matter what. It will not die. If the discourse comes up again on Elden Ring's anniversary, the same people will bring it up once more. Just fandoms being fucking exhausting, like clockwork.

Oh yeah for sure I don’t expect this to ever go away or anything. The whole “this vs that” has been a thing in quite a few fandoms for me too. I still remember the witcher fandom back in the day with whole Yen vs Triss thing and oh boy was that exhausting.

It’s funny how all this died down and then all it took was the game award hype to bring it back up again. Mainly the discussion surrounding the game being nominated for best narrative. You wait it’ll win goty then it’ll all come up again

#anonymous #answered #i guess the only thing that might make some people shut up is if they release some other content #either dlc or comics (not including the gag manga they’re currently working on) or maybe books or something #could go either way though #it could be that it was froms intention all along to have malenia be hated lol #they made her fight like… well that #they had her fight the big hero guy that they must have know everyone would love #and then being a fromsoft game there’s like zero explanation for her motives for that fight #overall she comes across as unsympathetic to a lot of people despite her situation #people just don’t care about what's going on with her and her brother #in regards to their curses i mean #and with the lore being so vague most people only see what they want to see and don’t really bother looking that hard into it #or thinking that hard about it for that matter #the majority of this fandom looks at this game through a black and white lens #anyway i’m just thinking out loud now don’t mind me
