heavily editing a font but, like, on the fine-grained detail level is so funny to me bc every time i send progress shots to my friends they're all like "i literally don't see any difference but i'm glad you're having fun"

#well. it looks a lot better to ME. for example most letters have stroke widths similar enough to not immediately distract now #it does not have any kerning yet bc i would like to finalize the letter shapes n widths before i do that #today at work we had to fill up the gas tank on the truck and it was exciting bc this time *i* was the one who knew the gas code #usually it was the other person (the driver) who knew the gas code n therefore handled buying the gas. but today the driver Didn't know it #so i got to be like 'hi we're with [city]' and then give them all the info and punch in the numbers on the keypad n sign the receipt #anyway we had to wait in line before then so i started observing the fonts inside the gas station. and on god they had an ugly one in there #like the more i looked at it the more horrified i was that they Chose That. like what were they trying to do.#花話
