#i had my first irl experience with queerphobia today#it happened like 9 hours ago and i've been teary off and on all day bc of it#i was telling the dad of the kid i babysit about youtube kids bc she just watches normal youtube and he said he'll take a look at it#but wanted to be careful bc he doesn't want it pushing woke and lgbtq nonsense#he messed up the acronym but i sure as hell wasn't about to correct him in this context#it's one thing to hear people say that stuff online where i don't know them and i don't have to deal with them personally#but this is my cousin's dad#and i'm queer#he was talking with disgust about me#i already knew he was a republican so at least i was a bit prepared for it but still#i've had people around me say shit before but this situation was just different#at first i was just thinking 'wow okay so he's one of those' but then it really hit what he said and it just#it's the first time bullshit like that has hit me so personally
