honestly when Noelle said Kris and hers relationship was forced I immediately knew it was because their older siblings had a thing and so they were "forced" together in a sense bc they were both obsessed with them and shadowed them, and probably bonded over wanting more attention from onii/oneesan haha.

OR it could also be that the dreemurrs and holiday family were friends and thus naturally "forced" their children together by proximity/they were chosen as preferred playmates for the others.

its probably a combination of these things

in either case, Noelle doesn't feel Kris came into her life out of choice. But, it doesn't change the affection that grew from growing up together imo. It's just an easy way to downplay/dismiss what Kris means to her as Susie seems taken aback by it/is probably a bit jealous.
