the thing i remember most from being in an active shooter situation was how completely fucking unsurprising it was. i was hiding from the gunman thinking oh of course this is how im gonna die because i live in the usa. after the guy left and the doors were locked when we were all sitting on the floor waiting for the police we were all saying it to each other too like oh i thought this would happen to me someday i just didn’t think it’d be at work, i thought i’d be in school in class in a movie theater or something. i wanna strangle greg abbott. i want the man flayed alive
