#the stereoscope craze lasted from the 1850s to the mid 1860s but it went on in the daae cottage! ;)#little christine loved looking through the stereoscope and imagining all sorts of stories!#she especially loved the first two (her favorite singer and namesake christina nilsson) :)#daddy daae wanted christine to see the world so he bought the last four slides (and plenty more including the gif!)#it was like victorian google maps! ;)#the 7th slide spooked her a bit since one of the ladies vanished! :o#she loved having a tea party with the one right above it though! ;)#fun fact: the last slide is of the tuileries palace which was next door to the tuileries garden... and across the street from nadir's flat!#it was burned down during the paris commune and nadir was living on rue de rivoli at the time so he could've seen the fire! :o#and little christine was seeing something close to her future friend... ;)#there was a stereoscope revival in 1890 which is extremely close to the rewrite's time! ;)#the eiffel tower slide is from 1889!#christine and erik can see the iron lady from the opera house rooftop but it's a lot closer in stereoscope land#and who wouldn't want a slide of their house? ;)#poto rewritten
