#my cosplay#my sewing#Harley Quinn cosplay#Harley Quinn Swiftie cosplay#Dragon Con prep#Dragon Con 2023 prep#after literally six and a half months of sewing with silk#it was such a joy to go back to something easy like spandex lmao#to get to this stage I drafted the pattern from an existing swimsuit pattern#then cut out two pieces and sewed three seams#the only complicated bit was that the crotch seam is curved and I had to switch thread in my machine halfway through it#but soooooo easy compared to all the complexities of the last project#which is just about done! the underdress is completely done and I'm doing some detail work like beading on the overdress#these shorts are my only major sewing project left before Dragon Con#which is good bc I only have three weeks left to finish everything lol#my goal is to have these all assembled and hemmed and everything by this weekend#I have a few other things I would still like to get to#and a loooot of wig work#nothing too complicated but a lot of brushing and braiding#so spending next week on that would be nice#still a lot on my to-do list but it feels good to be making actual progress on this FINALLY#oh yeah and they fit PERFECTLY :D
