things I should be doing with my flight rising time: writing actual lore for my actual clan and actual dragons
things I actually do with my flight rising time: come up with alpha codes for the bird items
#for those who don't know alpha codes are four letter abbreviations of a bird's name for birders to use as quick reference#ANYWAY#I mean#it does serve the greater purposes of my lore at some juncture#what with my clan's new menagerie focus and all#but it is so tangential as to almost be unrelated haha#I can't help it! I love categories and I just so happen to be doing a Bird Internship right now so I'm surrounded by alpha codes#9hrs a day 6 days a week lol#and it's less brain intensive than coming up with binomial names so it's perfect for sleepy me#favorite so far is wildwood owlet being WWOW#it's just fun imagining there being birding enthusiasts in sornieth too :D#now the real question--do bird-headed hybrid familiars get alpha codes or nah??#alpha codes are rather unscientific/general so my vote is yes but who knows#it would be fun to go through and make alpha codes for gryphons and such :D#mew's musings
