when will people realize that it’s perfectly normal and natural to speak a foreign language with a foreign accent as long as you are understood

I loved your post about the Genshin guys’ gf dying but then returning as an animal, so I was wondering if you would make a second post about it? In a few of them you mentioned that they would probably want to find a way to turn her back into a human, so I was thinking it would be kind of funny if the characters are suddenly happy again and have a new pet, because they probably couldn’t explain it to anyone without sounding crazy. Specifically, I really liked the Kaeya one, and I was just thinking it would be really funny if it went from him being sad/angry to him seeming like a crazy person who started calling that dog his dead gf’s name. Especially bc other people can’t hear her voice.
Anyway, I love your writing so much! Also, as someone who speaks English fluently but is learning French, I think your English is really impressive! I wouldn’t have guessed you weren’t a native speaker.

You were lying on one of the beds in the church infirmary, your face pale and your clothes stained with your blood. Diluc was beside you, his head bowed to his chest and your now cold hand in his. His tears flowed uninterrupted. He had just lost you and there was nothing he could have done to prevent the tragedy. He had been told too late about your situation and could not be at your side when you breathed your last...
"Diluc..."
Diluc gasped, and in a sudden movement, he raised his head in search of the person who had called him. His gaze finally found the source of the noise. You stood behind him, your body bruised and covered in blood. Your look and appearance were empty of life. It all seemed unreal...
"y/n... y/n I'm sorry! Forgive me... I should have been there. I should have protected you."
Sobs choked his voice. Diluc could not bear the thought of your death and he never would... His face fell against your hand that he still held in his.
"Don't leave me alone... I couldn't bear to lose you too."
"Diluc..."
His tears splashed on his pants. Slowly, he looked up at you to see you now sitting beside him, looking at your body with a hint of sadness. You looked more resplendent, your wounds had healed and your body gave off a soft, warm aura.
"I don't want to leave you my love. I'm the one who is sorry I can't keep my promise." - The atmosphere changed. Your eyes, which were gradually darkening with a veil of anger, met his. Despair was winning him by the second. "This world is cruel, Diluc. And you will have to live with my death on your conscience. It's all your fault. You should be here, not me!" - Your words hit him hard.
He knew.
He knew that it was all his fault. Pain and sadness came over him. A flood of tears flowed from his eyes as your form slowly disappeared. Diluc tried to catch you, but could not. His hand went through your body as it turned into mist. With his mouth half open, Diluc grabbed his hair, screaming, crying out his pain.
Diluc woke up with a start. He was covered in sweat and his breathing was heavy and uneven. His hand plunged into his loose hair.
He was shaking.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he began to pant. His lungs were on fire as images of your mangled body clouded his vision. Diluc whispered your name over and over...
Instinctively, his free hand sought out your sleeping body beside him. As soon as his fingers brushed your skin, his tears stopped flowing. You looked so peaceful, as if his last months had been a figment of his imagination...
Silently, Diluc leaned in beside you and wrapped his arms around your waist, pressing your back as close to his chest as possible.
He listened carefully to the sound of your breathing, which calmed the once frantic rhythm of his heart.
His nose pressed into your hair, inhaling your scent as if to convince himself that you were really there. His hand gently stroked your forearm, making your skin a little warmer.
"I love you..." - He whispered to you, repeating his loving words over and over again.
Gradually, his breathing became normal and his tremors calmed, his mind gradually regaining control of his body.
Diluc searched for your hand, hidden warmly between you and the sheets, and when he finally reached it, he intertwined his fingers with yours.
And when he closed his eyes again, the memories of the last few months slowly returned to his mind...
A few months earlier.
Diluc stood on top of the cliff overlooking the Dawn Domain, watching the horizon with a peaceful gaze. When he saw the small white figure in the sky approaching him, a tender smile formed on his lips. His gloved arm rose up so that you could rest comfortably on it. As soon as your talons attached to it, Diluc stroked your feathers before placing a kiss on your beak.
"Did that feel good?"
"Yes. Flying through the sky is an amazing feeling. I wish I could share that with you..." - A deep laugh escaped his throat at your remark.
"I probably couldn't fly as high as you, but I can still soar with my wings." - You flapped your wings with glee.
"So what are you waiting for?" - You broke away from him to fly away. Diluc laughed harder at your impatience. Gaining momentum, he ran to the edge of the cliff before jumping off. His glider opened, allowing him to fly with you beside him...
"You look exhausted my love. Do you sleep badly?" - You were settled on the back of the chair that faced him. Diluc had barely touched the meal Adeline had prepared. He limply placed his fork on the table before leaning back against his chair with a sigh.
"Nightmares... I keep seeing you lying on that bed, covered in blood..." - You jumped up on the table to get closer to him.
"Forgive me for putting you through this Diluc..." - The sincere smile on his lips encouraged you to move closer to his hand resting on the table.
"It's not your fault. I'm the one who should have... protected you. I'm the one who should apologize. If only I could find a way to give you back a human body... Maybe I... Ouch!" - You cut him off by lightly pinching his skin. You couldn't bear for him to get so overwhelmed over a mistake you had made.
"Don't you dare say that Diluc! I'm the one who put myself in danger. All the blame belongs to me! You have no right to hurt yourself because of my stupidity. Please think about your health. Rest and don't think about crazy plans like giving me a body again... you and I both know that's impossible." - Diluc sighed, exhausted. His hand finally rested on your head.
"y/n... Do you think this world is cruel?"
"No. Because I was able to stay with you despite death. Diluc, as long as you are near me, this world will always shine with a thousand colors." - The sadness in Diluc's eyes seemed to lessen a little. Tiredness eventually overcame him, and his eyelids closed heavily.
"You know... Kaeya, Jean, Aether, and even that bard, Venti... They heard me talking to you on the streets of Mondstadt. I'm sure they think I'm crazy. That your death has made me lose my mind. Maybe they are right. Maybe deep inside I'm living a perpetual nightmare. Every morning when I wake up... I check that you are still there, that you haven't disappeared. So... y/n... don't ask me to give up the idea of having you in my arms again. That hope helps me hold on." - His eyes reopen to gaze into yours. - "I love you... more than my life, more than Mondstadt, more than anything else..." - Your heart clenched in your chest. Diluc rarely opened up to others, even to you. Yet he was so sincere tonight. He held his arm out to you. He wore nothing to protect himself from your clutches but his ebony shirt, so you hesitantly looked at him for a long time before slowly climbing onto his arm, careful not to hurt him badly. As soon as you were on top of him, he pulled you close to his face, pressing his forehead against yours. - "I love you my love."
"I love you even more." - He smiled. You'd always had this habit of making your shared feelings an adorable competition.
"Master Diluc..." - You had flinched at the sudden sound. Diluc straightened in his seat and calmly turned his face to Elzer, who stood respectfully in the doorway. - "The cavalry captain is here to... check in on your condition." - Diluc sighed, annoyed.
"Very well. Tell him I'm on my way." - Elzer bowed before disappearing into the dark hallway. Diluc pinched the bridge of his nose, groaning his exasperation. - "Trouble comes to me. I wasn't kidding when I told you they all think I'm crazy." - You laughed at his grumpy look. Your joviality cheered him up a bit and to tease you, Diluc grabbed your beak to gently shake it. - "Don't laugh..."
"Forgive me darling, I just think it's cute when you sulk." - He frowned, his cheeks red at your comment. Without motivation, Diluc got up from his seat before heading to his room to drop you off.
"Wait for me, I won't be long." - His lips rested on your head before he left the room. You waited for him, listening intently to the whispers that echoed through the mansion.
You could hear the tone rising between the two men in the distance.
"It's only a Diluc bird! She's dead!"
"If you came here to tell me that, then you can go away Kaeya!"
"Damn it, Diluc! We're all worried about you! I'm worried about you. Let me help you."
"I'm not crazy Kaeya. I don't need help, so go away."
"I wasn't a brother to you when our father was..."
"Our father!? Kaeya, you smiled when I held him in my arms! Then you came to me and told me you were... a spy sent from a nation destroyed decades ago and seeking revenge on us. Don't talk to me about brotherhood Kaeya! We have not been brothers for a long time. I asked you to leave, so go!"
"Diluc! Wait, please... "
Your heart broke. Kaeya was your friend... once. The pain you could feel in his voice... hurt you... And Diluc's... you knew him well enough to know when he was feeling troubled... You were the cause of their pain. How could you live with that?
A few days passed since the incident. Today, Diluc was working behind the bar at Angel's Share, cleaning the dirty glasses he'd removed from unoccupied tables. Sitting on a perch he'd built for you, you watched his every precise movement with adoration. Sensing your gaze on him, Diluc turned his gaze from the glass to you. A soft smile played on his lips as he brought his hand to your head, rubbing it gently with his fingertip. You leaned against his touch, all too happy to receive his attention.
"Aren't you too bored my love?" - He whispered to you.
"Never when you're around..." - You were sure that if you still had a human body, your face would turn red at the sound of his laughter. Diluc was so gentle and kind to you. Unfortunately, you were soon interrupted by the arrival of new customers, and not just any customers...
Diluc followed your gaze and sighed loudly.
"Come on brother, I wish you'd greet me with something more than a sigh... Hm?" - A shiver ruffled your feathers as Kaeya's piercing gaze met yours-"Don't tell me I interrupted one of your little chats with your bird?" - Kaeya's eyes were nothing but cold towards you, and when he turned his attention back to his brother, a part of you was relieved of a weight.
Despite the discomfort he had caused you, you could see in the cryo user's expression something rare.
He was worried. You could tell by his furrowed brow and the intensity with which he stared at his brother's back.
"The usual?" - Diluc simply replied curtly to his brother. This time, it was Kaeya's turn to sigh.
"Yes... I'll let my colleague order what he wants, I'll go and settle down upstairs." - Without saying another word, Kaeya walked away with a heavy step. You could feel the concern he had for his brother, you regretted a little to be the cause of his worries... But what else could you do? Diluc refused to tell anyone about your situation, not even Mondstadt's patron god, Barbatos, who walked the streets as Venti.
Worried about Diluc's silence, you left your perch and settled on his shoulder, rubbing your head against his cheek.
"Don't be sad Diluc. I'm sure if you talked to Kaeya, he would understand..."
"It's too risky. I don't trust him completely." - He whispered as he prepared a Death afternoon. He didn't immediately notice the gaze that was intensely scanning his back.
"This soul must be particularly attached to you to have incarnated in the body of an animal, Master Diluc." - Shocked, Diluc dropped the glass he held in his hand, letting it crash to the ground in a deafening crash of broken glass. He ignored the curious looks that had turned his way. Diluc stared at the young man sitting behind the counter, who seemed to be studying you with interest-"Forgive me, I haven't introduced myself. I am the chief alchemist of the Order of Favonius, but you may call me Albedo."
"How do you... ?"
"How did I guess that she wasn't just an owl?" - Diluc nodded slowly, causing the young man to smile in amusement. - "There are several reasons why I deduced it. I study life and its mysteries, with a modicum of observation, it is easy to see that this owl is anything but natural. Secondly, I myself am... out of the ordinary, and finally... and it is probably for this last reason, which I unfortunately cannot reveal to you, that allows me to hear him speak to you." - Diluc froze, shocked. Someone other than him could hear you... Besides, it wasn't just anyone. Albedo was a brilliant alchemist, known to be extremely good at what he did throughout Teyvat. Diluc quietly leaned toward him.
"May I speak with you... in private?" - Curious, Albedo nodded slowly before rising from his seat. Diluc motioned for Charles to take over, courteously asking him if he could clean up the broken glass on the floor. He then invited Albedo to follow him, leading him into the tavern's wine cellar. Once inside, Diluc mechanically stroked your head before pulling you onto his arm. He offered Albedo a seat, which he politely accepted. "I have a favor to ask of you. As an alchemist, are you able to create a body made of flesh and blood?" - Albedo frowned. How ironic, he thought.
"Only alchemists who have acquired a high knowledge of alchemy can create artificial human beings. Right now, I don't think I can. Only my master could accomplish such a miracle."
"Then tell me where I can find your master."
"You won't find her... And even if you did, she would refuse to help you." - Albedo seemed to think of something. - "Creating a homunculus is a difficult thing, for it requires shaping both the body, but also the soul. In your case, only the body is needed. It will be a first for me, but I can try. Then we will just have to find a way to transfer his soul." - Diluc's heart skipped a beat. He had been searching for months for a way to give you a human body again, and today the solution came to him on a silver platter. Emotion overwhelmed him, tears welling up in his eyes, but he stopped them from flowing. Instead, Diluc buried his face in your feathers, gritting his teeth to keep his emotions from spilling over. You knew he was grateful to the blue-eyed alchemist, so it was on his behalf, but also yours, that you thanked him.
"I don't know how we can thank you, Master Albedo. We will be eternally grateful to you."
"There's no need, really. Mondstadt has done so much for me, it is only natural that I should help you in return." - A blankness settled between the three of you, until Albedo spoke again. - "What we are about to do goes against the divine laws. Barbatos himself could turn his anger against us. Are you nevertheless willing to take that risk?" - Diluc slowly raised his head, first observing you with all the love he had for you before staring at the young alchemist.
"Barbatos... Celestia... Never mind the risks I have to take. The only thing I want is to hold her in my arms again."
"Diluc..." - If you were capable of shedding tears, you'd probably be doing it right now.
"Well, in that case... We'll start the search tomorrow. Diluc I need her..." - You broke away from Diluc's arm to rest on one of Albedo's legs, and he watched you, surprised by your sudden proximity. Hesitantly, he raised his hand to caress your head. You let yourself be stroked, expressing your gratitude for his kindness with this gesture.
"Call me y/n." - Albedo nodded, moving his hand away from you to let you join the man you loved.
"I need y/n to be with me for research. I need to figure out how she managed to reincarnate into the body of an owl. I also need to study how I can transfer her soul to a new body without making her... disappear." - Diluc breathed in sharply, gripped by a sudden anguish. The thought of losing you again scared him, but did he have a choice? In this form, he didn't know how long you could live. Was your life expectancy the same as that of a normal owl? Despite his fears, he knew he couldn't make the decision for you. He examined you, looking for any doubt in your eyes. He found none of that, on the contrary, you looked more serene and confident than ever.
"Very well. In that case, we'll meet tomorrow in your laboratory."
"Not here. We'll go to my camp, at Dragonspine. I could work there without taking the risk of being interrupted by a third party." - You both agreed, understanding Albedo's suspicion. Neither of you wanted to take any chances...
The next day, Albedo's search began. Diluc accompanied you every day to the alchemist's camp, protecting you from the monsters and the cold. Days passed, then weeks, and finally, after several months, Albedo seemed to have achieved a result that he felt was satisfactory. He now knew how to detach your soul from this frail body and transfer it, without tearing you apart, to a new body. He quickly moved on to the next step.
Although Albedo remembered the young woman you had been before, the one he had passed several times in the streets of Mondstadt, he didn't want to create a perfect copy. He didn't want to draw attention to you and risk arousing the suspicions of your relatives. So when Albedo drew your future body on canvas, Diluc asked him for one and only one favor: he wanted your eyes to remain the same.
Albedo spent the last few days shaping your body, using his sketches as a model. When everything was finally ready, he placed you on the alchemy table, which he had slightly modified so that he could proceed with the extraction of your soul. Diluc kissed your head one last time before reluctantly walking away from you. You could see it in his eyes, he was afraid it was going to go wrong. His hands were shaking...
The day before, the two of you had a long talk. Diluc had told you everything about himself, about how happy he was to have met you, how much he loved you, how he wanted to marry you, to be with you forever. He had opened himself completely to you, revealing his strengths and weaknesses. And you did the same, because no matter what happened, you didn't want to have any regrets.
Albedo placed the diamond-shaped catalyst he had made to hold your soul during the extraction on a tripod. Before he began, you took one last look at the man of your life...
As soon as Albedo received your go-ahead, he began the transfer. The biting cold of death invaded your body. It was a strange and unpleasant sensation. A part of you began to doubt. So, to reassure yourself, you looked for him.
Diluc.
I'll always be by your side...
Diluc...
I promise you.
"I love you..." - These were the only words you managed to say before you collapsed. Your vision had slowly turned white, and the last thing your dilated irises could see was Diluc's tear-filled eyes...
A warm, rough hand lovingly caressed your face. You could hear a familiar voice whispering loving words to you. Your lips parted with difficulty, but no sound came out. Then, with the little strength you had, you forced your eyes open.
Diluc was sitting next to you, his face incredibly close to yours. When he saw that you were awake, a reassuring smile lit up his tired face. He rested his forehead tenderly against yours, looking into the eyes he had missed so much.
"It's all right, my love. You're home." - He placed a kiss on your forehead, forcing your eyes to close under the heat of his lips. You suddenly felt them against yours, and by the archons, you had missed that feeling so much.
It will take time for you to gain control of this artificial body. Fortunately, Diluc was there to help you. He took care of you, following Albedo's recommendations to the letter.
But first, he would take the time to taste your lips...
A few months later. (NSFW)
Diluc opened his eyes again. A sigh of relief escaped his nostrils when he saw you asleep, back to him, with nothing on you to cover your body but the blankets. He straightened up on his forearm, bringing the hand he still held in his to his lips. He placed loving kisses on each of your fingers, lingering for a while on the ring that encircled your phone book. He went down languidly to your wrist, your shoulder. Then he attacked your neck, your jaw and the back of your ear. Slowly, he took you out of your torpor with a soft moan. Your hand got lost in his hair as his strayed to your chest, massaging it with desire. You turned your face towards him to encourage him to kiss you. You did not need to be insistent so much he needed to bind his lips to yours. His hand slowly left your breasts to go lower. Diluc had claimed you so many times since you had this new body... Each time he took you as his own, you felt as if it was both the first and last time he would ever be with you. Diluc savored you, loved you with a consuming passion.
"Diluc... what's wrong with you?" - Although Diluc's needs were more frequent than they once were, it was still rare that he woke you up in the middle of the night already hard and ready for you.
"Just... a nightmare. Don't worry my love, everything is fine." - His fingers easily found your entrance, immediately inserting two of his fingers inside. A moan of pleasure escaped your lips. He couldn't take his eyes off you... His hips rolled against you, his length rubbing between your thighs. He wanted you. He wanted you. And as soon as you were ready for him, Diluc lifted your leg with one hand and used the other to place his tip at your entrance, moaning in ecstasy at the feel of your walls tightening around him. - "I love you y/n."

Zhongli watched the moon shyly light up the starry sky. His mind was wandering over so many things at once. He had so many questions in his mind that he didn't know where he stood... It was the soft squeak that you emitted that brought him out of his thoughts and redirected him to you. You were lying on his lap, sleeping peacefully while his hand was protecting you from the winter cold. From the small noises you were making, Zhongli quickly deduced that you must be dreaming. A gentle smile lit up his features as his hand stroked you. Your coat was incredibly soft and comforting.
A long sigh escaped his lungs. Zhongli closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. Gently, he took you in his arms so he could get up, being careful not to wake you up.
Slowly, he made his way to the bedroom and laid you on the pillow next to his. As soon as he was sure you were properly settled, Zhongli moved away from the bed to get into his robe. He then joined you in bed, watching your sleeping form with a slight smile...
Tomorrow was the fateful day, the day he had chosen to gather the followers at Mount Aozang to ask for their help. Zhongli was going to bring you back to him, by any means necessary.
And since he had decided to live among mortals, Zhongli allowed himself to be a little selfish...
You were at his feet, watching the statue of the seven that represented him. Zhongli had put on his adept's outfit, the same one that was represented on the statue. His arms, tinted with the colors of the earth, shone with the same glow as the heart of the cor lapis, forming an intricately shaped tattoo all along. You thought it was beautiful...
The silence that weighed between you two nevertheless managed to make you uncomfortable. Where he would usually have told you the story of the construction of this statue, was instead that a heavy and heavy mutism.
"Zhongli... ? " - Zhongli's fists clenched. You had never seen him in this state, both sad and nervous.
"I don't know... y/n, I don't know if what I'm about to do is right..."
"What are you planning to do?" - He finally turned his amber eyes to you. Doubt clouded his eyes.
"I'm... going to be very selfish. I just hope you won't hate me for it." - Your ears lowered. Worry slowly crept up on you. Seeing your discomfort, Zhongli knelt down in front of you, carefully caressing your head. His hand passed under your belly to lift you off the ground and place you in his arms. - "I want to feel your body against mine again. Feel your lips and see your smile. For that, I have to carve your body out of stone. I will shape it and perfect it until your skin is as soft as a mortal's." - You rubbed your muzzle against his jaw. His fingers tenderly pinned your head against his neck so he could rest his chin on it. - "I need them, followers, so I can transfer your spirit into a new body without putting you in danger. They will be angry, very angry. You are supposed to be dead, yet here you are, reincarnated in the body of a fox because of an innocent promise we made to each other. I am supposed to be the archon of Liyue, I must enforce the divine laws so that the balance of the world is not disturbed. Yet what I am about to do goes against everything I have protected so far..."
"Then don't do it Zhongli! I don't want to be a burden to you." - His hand tightened against you.
"You are not a burden. You never were. I'm the one who made this decision. I'll own it." - Your heart was heavy at his words. Zhongli was torn between his duty to Liyue and his love for you. Deeply saddened, you gave a few small strokes of your muzzle against his neck to better bury yourself in his warmth. "y/n, for you, I am willing to suffer the wrath of Celestia. I refuse to lose you. You are too precious to me..."
"For me too Zhongli." - You felt his jaw lift in a soft, genuine smile. He slowly stood up, holding you preciously in the crook of his arms. After taking one last look at the statue of Rex Lapis, Zhongli set off again towards his destiny.
They were all present. Starting with the last Yaksha, Xiao.
The secretary of the seven stars, Ganyu.
The wise and peaceful Madame Ping.
The lady who rules the sky, Cloud Retainer.
The lord who carves the moon and builds the sun, Moon Carver.
The lord of the mountains, Mountain Shaper.
And the last one, the one whose name was unknown to you, but who was known as Lady Yanfei's father.
They were... intimidating. A shiver ran through your body and to reassure yourself, you buried yourself deeper into Zhongli's arms.
"Lord Morax, we are glad to see you are doing well." - Said Cloud Retainer humbly. "We have so many questions for you..." - His eyes, like those of his fellows, fell upon you. The most virulent of them were horrified, while the others stared at you with curiosity.
"What does this mean, Morax? What is that... thing doing in your arms? It's an abomination!" - Moon Carver exclaimed.
"Come on, my friend, calm down, let him explain himself. - Madame Ping tried to calm down.
"Calm down!? This creature goes against all our principles! - Furious, Moon Carver arched his back. As soon as his hooves touched the ground, he began to scrape the earth furiously. As soon as Moon Carver took a step forward to charge, he was immediately stopped by the Yaksha's jade spear. The young man's eyes glowed with black fury. His devotion to Morax had never wavered, even now.
"Please, Moon Carver, let us hear what Lord Morax has to say..." - interjected the gentle Ganyu. Following Xiao's action, she had positioned herself in front of the great stag, hoping to mitigate his anger a little. Suspicious, Xiao backed up to Zhongli and you, the weapon still in hand.
"Forgive me... I stage my death then disappear for several months and reappear before your eyes as if nothing happened. I understand your anger." - Zhongli affectionately placed one of his hands on Xiao's shoulder as he positioned himself in front of him to protect him. He nodded to Ganyu to come closer to him, which she did respectfully. As soon as she was at his height, he entrusted you to the young woman and walked towards the rest of the followers. A little frightened, but also out of sheer curiosity, you looked up at the beautiful adept who was staring worriedly at the back of the geo archon. When she felt your gaze upon her, her eyes lowered upon you with a reassuring glow. - "I have lived among mortals for some time now. I have met some wonderful people there. People I can call 'friend' without any hesitation. I've felt more alive than ever." - He paused, taking advantage of the silence to look at you. - "Of all the people I've been lucky enough to meet, only one has been able to make me discover this feeling called love. " - Ms. Ping looked at her old friend with a glint of sadness in her eyes. - "A few months ago... I lost him in a tragic accident. That day, I felt myself dying with her." - Zhongli looked so fragile, he was nothing like the powerful Geo archon anymore. He looked so... human. - "We made a promise to each other while she was alive. An innocent promise, with no ulterior motive... " - His voice dropped an octave. - "To be together always, even beyond death. Unconsciously, we formed a contract... If today I call upon you, it is to humbly ask you to help me."
"Help you do what, Rex Lapis?" - Mountain Shaper growled.
"Morax, with all due respect..." - began Cloud Retainer. - "If you're going to ask us to bring her back to life, do I have to remind you what happened hundreds of years ago, when we took pity on that little human girl who was badly injured by... " - She stared at Xiao for a long time, who frowned before continuing. - "*sigh*, Rex Lapis, if you really care about her, let her go. We can't afford to play with mortal lives."
"If you do not wish to help me, I will not hold it against you. But don't ask me to give up. I will find another way to get his soul into another body." - Zhongli turned his back on the followers to walk toward Ganyu and you. He gently took you back into his arms and began to walk away from the group.
"Lord Morax!" - Zhongli stopped to look at the one who had just called out to him. Ganyu stood behind him, smiling and determined. - "Please let me help you!"- Zhongli opened his eyes wide in surprise. Moved, Madame Ping walked over to the young woman, placing a comforting hand on her delicate shoulders.
"I would help you too, Morax. Love is a feeling worth taking risks for, isn't it?" - Zhongli smiled fondly at her old friend.
"Thank you. Thank you so much."
Xiao and Yanfei's father silently joined Madam Ping and Ganyu, showing their help.
*Sigh* "Fine, I'll help you however I can, Rex lapis." - Capitulated Cloud Retainer.
Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper remained silent, their posture hesitant. Mountain Shaper was the first to step forward.
"I agree with Moon Carver about the divine laws. They were created to protect mortals. But... I take the risk of helping you. In the name of our friendship."
"Hmph!" - Moon Carver tapped his hoof.- "So be it. I'll help you too. But if this goes wrong, Morax, you will take full responsibility."
"Of course." - Zhongli relaxed his shoulders, relaxed and smiling. He bowed slightly in a respectful manner.- "A simple thank you is insufficient to express my gratitude to you. Without you, I don't know how I would have done it. Thank you... Thank you." - Zhongli lowered his eyes to you. For the first time in days, you could see peace reign there. - "Now all I have to do is sculpt you into a new body."
"I can't wait to hold you again."
"Me too." - He kissed the top of your head. "Although I thought you were very cute in crimson fox."
"Lord Morax? Is she talking to you?" - Ganyu stared at him with wide, bemused eyes. Zhongli looked at you with an amused expression, hesitating to laugh at the young woman's remark.
"So no one can hear it but me?" - Everyone nodded. Zhongli laughed heartily, thinking back to his last few weeks at Liyue Port. - "Now I understand better why passersby looked at me strangely when I was talking to you."
After that, Zhongli entrusted you to the good care of Madam Ping to start shaping your body in the oldest and richest rock of all Liyue. He remembered every detail, your figure, your face, your skin, even your moles.
You were deeply engraved in him.
Several weeks passed before Zhongli was finally satisfied with the result. He had received help from the adepts to refine your body, bringing your skin closer to that of humans. When he was finished, he called upon the adepts to begin the extraction ritual.
He had not seen you for weeks, and when Madame Ping brought you to him, his face lit up with love and joy. As soon as you were placed on the ground, you threw yourself into his arms. Zhongli had crouched down so he could receive you.
"I missed you so much Zhongli." - You whisper to him as you rub your head against his cheek.
"You too my love. It's almost over, I won't leave you again." - He kissed the tip of your muzzle before standing up. He led you to the center of the room, a sort of forge that was carved into a mountain and hidden by a waterfall. The followers present when their archon was called, now formed a perfect axis around him. Zhongli placed you on a stone table, the one where your future body lay peacefully. The Geo Archon had done an exceptional job, every detail was represented perfectly. Your face was identical in every way to what it had once been. Zhongli had not forgotten anything about you... He suddenly put his hand on your head, making you jump at the sudden weight. He soothed you with an affectionate caress.
"y/n, let me explain how this is going to work. Know that you have absolutely nothing to fear. You will feel no pain or discomfort. You will simply... fall asleep." - Your gaze remained immersed in his, and despite his words, anxiety was beginning to creep up on you. Probably sensing your unease, Zhongli smiled benevolently at you. - "I will stay by you until you wake up." - You slowly nodded your head. - "The adepts will take care of extracting your soul from this body with their elemental energies while I guide you to the other." - Zhongli lowered the veil that hid part of your body to show you an engraving that was on your chest. The Mark of the Geo Archon.- "This mark connects you to me, it is the mark that will keep you safe during the transfer." - He placed his large hand on your head one last time before turning his gaze to the seven adepts. He nodded to them to begin. - "Everything is going to be okay my love, trust me. Now lie down."
With your ears lowered, you obeyed his instructions obediently. Your eyes remained riveted on him, fascinated by his presence. It was the first time since you were together that you could admire him in his role of archon. His hair, his eyes, his tattoos shone like a cluster of stars. Zhongli looked so... divine. He didn't take his eyes off you for a moment, patiently waiting for sleep to come. Your vision became progressively blurred, you felt yourself floating, as if in a dream. You did not feel your head fall heavily forward, threatening to hit the stone surface of the table. Zhongli held you back in extremis. He made you comfortable, offering you a final caress before letting your soul leave your body. He stepped back, admiring your spirit as it slowly took on the shape of the one you were before you died. His breath caught, forgetting for a moment why he was here.
"Lord Morax! Stay focused!" - Xiao shouted at him.
Zhongli frowned, inwardly thanking the Yaksha for calling him to order. He concentrated, his hand held out in front of him. The Geo mark glowed in front of his hand and then on your chest... Your surroundings darkened, there was no pain, no noise... you felt at peace.
Your eyelids moved slightly as a groan vibrated in your throat. Something soft pressed against your lips. The sensation was both strange and nostalgic. With difficulty, your eyes opened. Zhongli was leaning over you, smiling and warm. You could feel your limbs moving with difficulty, but with some effort and a little willpower, you managed to lift your hand to his cheek.
"...Hello there." - You whispered with a soft smile on your lips. Zhongli had grabbed your hand to place a tender kiss on it.
"Hello my love."-His lips found yours. How sweet it was... The tears stung your eyes so much happiness invaded you. You had forgotten how smooth his lips were. He went slowly, savoring the taste of the other as much as you did. When he separated from you, his eyes were only love and passion. - "I finally find you, v/n."
Over the next few days, Zhongli helped you take possession of your new body with a few rehabilitation sessions. Zhongli's patience warmed your heart and soon you were able to walk by yourself, speak without feeling intense pain in your larynx, run freely. You felt like yourself again...

"Would I keep it forever? That mark?" - Settling in front of the standing mirror, your hand brushed the Geo symbol on your chest. A frail glow escaped from it as Zhongli circled your waist from behind, resting his head on your shoulder to admire your reflection in the mirror.
"Does it bother you?"-His fingers replaced yours. He slowly traced the contours of the symbol as his lips placed passionate kisses on your shoulder, slowly working their way up to your neck.
"No..." - You moaned. You could feel your lover's smile against your skin.
His hands left your waist and moved up your arms. As soon as his fingers reached your shoulders, he slowly slid the straps of your nightgown off, letting it pool at your feet. Naked before the mirror, Zhongli admired your figure with hungry eyes.
"You look beautiful..." - The blush on your cheeks made him flush. He stooped to put one of his arms under your knees and the other behind your back, and lifted you into his arms. He took you to your bed, laying you gently on the mattress. Quickly, he shed his own clothes to join you. His muscular body dominated you wonderfully. Your hands caressed his chest. Zhongli was enjoying your touch, your softness, your warmth. Soon, he moved your hands away from him to lower his face to your chest, lovingly kissing the mark in its center. His hips rolled against yours, eager for you. His lips slowly moved down to your lower abdomen, licking and nibbling your skin until they left love marks. When he got to the exact spot where he wanted to be, Zhongli devoured you with his eyes before lowering his face to your entrance, directly penetrating you with his tongue. The moans you were making were divine to his ears. He sighed against you, dazed by the love he felt for you.- "I love you y/n... For eternity..."

Sitting in front of your dressing table, you were quietly running your comb through your hair. Lost in your thoughts, your eyes strayed to your reflection. Slowly, you put your brush on the table before raising your hand towards your neck. Your fingers carefully pulled aside the fabric of your robe to reveal a dark star-shaped mark nestled on your skin. A complaint escaped from you... Your mind was slowly wandering...
"Kaeya..."
A few weeks earlier.
Kaeya was hunched over his desk, reading reports on the latest monster sightings around Mondstadt City. Jaded, he finally dropped the papers curtly on the desk before leaning his back heavily against the back of his chair. The features of his face were those of a tired man. Kaeya sighed, closing his eyes for a few moments.
"y/n..." - Lying not far from him, you immediately stood up at the sound of his voice, your footsteps quickly leading you back to him. He stepped away from his desk to give you room to climb on his legs.
"Is something wrong Kaeya?" - You looked at him intensely, searching for the slightest flaw in his expression. His hand was mechanically stroking your back. With yet another sigh, Kaeya buried his face in your fur.
"I don't understand... For the past few weeks, there have been more and more abyssal mages attacking the city..." - He stepped back, so that his head would collide with yours.
"Do you think they might be there... for you?"
"No. Most of mine don't know I'm here. Hm... No matter how much I think about it, turning my thoughts over and over in my head, nothing coherent comes to mind. Yet, if there is one thing that coincides with their appearances, it is... you. Their numbers increased right after you came back to me... Why?" - Kaeya closed his eyes, frowning. "Tsk... Listen to me y/n, no matter what happens, no matter what happens, always stay by my side." - His strong hands had gripped your mouth firmly, as if to keep you from looking away from him. - "Promise me that, y/n."
"I promise." - Again, his arms wrapped around you, finding comfort in your warmth. His eyes were drawn to the portrait of you he had left on his desk.
"I don't know what's going on with the abyss, but I won't let them hurt you. Ever again."
Kaeya wandered through the streets of Mondstadt, you at his feet, greeting passers-by here and there who recognized him. His steps brought him back to Angel's Share, one of his favorite places to drink a good glass of wine and listen to the hearsay of travelers and townspeople. When he pushed open the doors of the tavern, he met a familiar redhead.
"Welcome to Angel's..." - Diluc began, stopping instantly as he turned to see that his new customer was none other than Kaeya. He sighed loudly. The ember gaze of the cellar owner landed on you. - "Dogs are not allowed inside. Get him out." - You squeaked, alternating your gaze between Kaeya and Diluc.
"Wait for me outside, y/n. I won't be long."
"Tsk." - Diluc clicked his tongue, quickly turning around to begin preparing a Death Afternoon for the cavalry captain. "I'll bring it outside for you, there's no point in standing here waiting." - Diluc's dry tone made Kaeya smile sadly.
"Very well." - Kaeya walked away from the bar, preparing to join you outside before stopping his gaze on two figures he knew well. - "Hello Lisa, hello Jean." - The two young women looked up at him. They greeted him with a smile and a wave of their hands.
"Kaeya! I need to talk to you. Are you moving outside?" - Jean asked him.
"Yes. Diluc won't let y/n in." - Jean and Lisa looked at Diluc, tense as a pin before looking at each other, worried.
"Your dog, you mean?" - Jean insisted on the word dog, which had the effect of making Kaeya laugh. This one did not answer, contenting himself with a wave of hand before disappearing outside.
"This is getting worrisome, Jean. You tried to talk to him." - The tall mistress sighed, burying her face in her hand.
"I tried... but it seems he doesn't want to talk about it."
"Do you think it's reasonable to trust him with tonight's patrol?"
"Lisa! Kaeya has my full confidence." - The librarian sighed.
"Can you trust a man who is losing his mind?"
"I think you're being hard on him..."
"Hard? Or just realistic? What do you think, Master Diluc?" - The pyro user turned his gaze to the two young women. Without answering, he picked up the drink he had prepared to place on a tray. Taking the direction of the terrace, however, he had one last word for the two women.
"I will speak to him..." - Jean thanked him before he disappeared outside.
"I'm sorry Kaeya... I shouldn't have gone home with you." - Sitting at his feet with her ears down and her tail between her legs, Kaeya couldn't help but find you adorable.
"Don't worry, I'd rather look like a fool than deny your existence. Besides, between Diluc and me, it's a habit."
"He worries about you, you know." - Kaeya laughed dryly.
"Let me doubt that, honey."
"Who are you talking to?" - Diluc stood beside him, removing the glass that had been placed on it from his tray so that he could place it on the table.
"y/n, of course. Who else would you like me to talk to?" - Kaeya sketched a wry smile. He took the glass placed on the table in order to taste the drink. - "Hmm~, nothing like a glass of Angel's Share liquor to forget all your problems." - He took another sip, not noticing Diluc's movements. Kaeya lost his mocking smile when he saw his brother take a seat on the chair in front of him. With his chin resting on the back of his hands crossed in front of him, Diluc swung his intense gaze between you and the cavalry captain.
"Kaeya... If you need to talk, I'm ready to listen. Tell me what's going on." - The cryo user's eye darkened, getting lost in the contemplation of his drink.
"What do you want me to say, Diluc, I've never felt better." - Diluc spread his hands, resting them on the table.
"Overnight, you go from angry to happy. You start calling that dog after your dead girlfriend." - Diluc laid his hard gaze on you, forcing your ears down further. - "You're not well, Kaeya."
"Would you believe me if I told you that 'that dog', as you like to call him, is actually y/n?" - Diluc's eyebrows furrowed. - "Hmph, no, of course not. I can see it in your eyes, in our friends' eyes. You think I'm crazy. That I've lost my mind. But it's true Diluc, his soul has been reincarnated in the body of this dog. I can hear him talking to me." - Diluc sighed, annoyed.
"You need to get treatment Kaeya."
"Diluc listen, I know that I am not always trustworthy. That I often tell lies to better manipulate. But... She's here. She came back to my side because we promised each other to always be together."
"A simple promise does not allow the dead to come back to life." - Diluc leaned back in the chair, crossing his arms in front of him. - "You must grieve." - Kaeya sighed, suddenly more exhausted than ever. You felt bad for him, for his friends. Maybe... Maybe you could convince Diluc of his brother's sincerity? You tried your best, slowly getting up and approaching Diluc. Your head rested gently on his thigh, drawing his attention to you. Your eyes remained locked in his, never blinking. Wasn't it said that if the face is the mirror of the soul, the eyes are the interpreters? The longer Diluc stared at you, the more you could read the doubt rising in him. Soon he uncrossed his arms and slowly moved a hand towards you. His fingers brushed against you, gently caressing your features. You whispered to him to believe in Kaeya, again and again. - "This is... impossible..." - Kaeya looked at you, stunned. - "Believe... the? y/n, is it really you?" - The shock upset Kaeya who abruptly got up from the table, knocking his glass, which spilled on the floor.
"Did you hear him?! Diluc, tell me you heard it!"
"I-I did... faintly... like a whisper on the wind..." - Jean and Lisa came out of the tavern completely panicked.
"What's going on?! Is everything okay?" - Jean asked as she cautiously approached the two men. Diluc merely nodded slowly, not taking his eyes off you. Eventually he stood up, shaking.
"I... will clean up." - He passed by Kaeya and whispered to him: - "We'll talk about this later." - Kaeya struggled to breathe, his eyes did not leave his brother until he disappeared inside the tavern. He was now in a hurry to get back to his brother...
It had been dark for several hours. Kaeya was peacefully patrolling outside the walls of Mondstadt, a bright smile on his lips. After a short discussion with Jean and Lisa, Diluc had convinced them that everything was fine and that he could continue to do his job as usual.
"I know I'm repeating myself y/n, but you were amazing. I still don't know how you got Diluc to hear you." - You walked alongside Kaeya, honoring your promise to stay within sight of him.
"I don't know either... I just wished it very hard. I wanted so badly... I wanted you to be able to lean on someone other than me. I can't stand to see you alone and tired anymore." - Kaeya suddenly stopped, kneeling before you. His eyes shone with love and his smile exuded tenderness.
"I've never been lonely, y/n. Not since I found you."
"Maybe... but I could see the relief in your eyes when your brother realized I was really me."
"That's true. Hmph, who would have thought that of all the people around me it would be Diluc who would serve as my support." - You rubbed your muzzle against his nose.
"He always supported you, he just had a different way of showing it." - His hand came to rest under your jaw to hold your muzzle up to him. His lips placed a kiss on your muzzle.
"You've always been so optimistic. That's what I love most about you. That and then also, the fact that you're an insufferable little pain in the ass." - You blew in his face, which made him giggle happily.
But Kaeya's laughter quickly stopped when he saw your body tense up. Your ears had perked up, searching for where the sound of fighting and screaming in pain was coming from.
"y/n? What's going on?" - Worried, Kaeya wanted to lay a reassuring hand on you, but he had no time. Your paws were leading you at full speed towards the one who was probably in danger. - "Y/N! No - No - No! Come back! It's dangerous!" - He lunged after you.
In the distance was a man wearing an outfit identical to the apostles of the abyss. He was standing over another man lying on the ground. His red hair was tied back in a ponytail and his face was partially covered by an owl mask. He appeared to have been badly wounded in the abdomen by the spear held by his assailant. You recognized that smell, the smell of Diluc. You ran faster, barking at the individual and baring your fangs to keep him away from your friend. You didn't want Kaeya to lose another person she cared about, so you stood over Diluc, growling fiercely and threatening to bite him if he came even a little bit closer. Diluc looked at you, forbidden and frightened by your intervention that was sure to put you in danger.
"Go away... He's *cough* dangerous..." - You barked at the man who was approaching with a threatening step towards you both.
"Get away from him!" - You shout at him, knowing full well that he couldn't hear you.
"Oh~ Interesting." - You backed away a little further, getting closer to Diluc's face as he searched for his claymore, which had fallen a little further away. This man was not normal. He had heard you, you were sure. - "Now there's a creature worth looking into. Hm~ Dead or alive, it doesn't matter, just dissect you to learn more." - He swept you violently with a blow from his spear, sending you landing a few feet away, blood spurting out of your nostrils.
"No!" - Diluc shouted. And it was his scream that drew Kaeya to you. His eyes reflected the horror of the scene. Tears welled up in his eyes as he saw your body lying on the ground, covered in blood.
"y/n... No... not that... Not again... this is a nightmare... y/n! " - Machinally, he conjured his sword in his hands. Diluc tried to reach for his claymore again, but the stranger stopped him by thrusting his spear into his thigh, piercing it until the blade went right through him and into the ground beneath him. The cry of pain pierced Kaeya's ears, and she immediately charged at his enemy with a face veiled in hatred and the need for vengeance. - "You bastard!" - In order to stop the cryo user's assault, the spearman tore his spear from Diluc's thigh, who groaned painfully before passing out from the heavy blood loss. He blocked Kaeya's attack as easily as if he had been a common insect. Finally, he sent a violent kick into his stomach, ejecting him to your body. Kaeya coughed, tears in his eyes. His jaw tightened as he turned his eyes to you, lying beside him, unconscious and possibly dead. He struggled to raise his hand to you, caressing your face. The spearman thrust his weapon between him and you, forcing Kaeya to see his reflection on the blade stained with Diluc's blood.
"Kaeya. I am disappointed in you. Really." - Kaeya looked up with horrified eyes at the man towering over him.
"... Father?" - The man laughed, a hint of cruelty in his soul. He finally removed the hood that covered his face.
"I am sending you here to accomplish a mission. I manage to get you to infiltrate one of the most important families in Mondstadt. And you, the best thing you can do is to take a liking to the heir of this family and the inhabitants of this city. Have you forgotten what they did to us Kaeya!? Khaenri'ah was destroyed because of them! You were supposed to infiltrate them, spy on them, give us the advantage! And all this time, what did we get from you? Nothing! Silence!" - His face went from anger to hilarity. - "We don't like traitors, son. You're no better than that royal guard strutting around Teyvat trying to stop us. The reason I'm here today is to put an end to this." - Kaeya's breath caught. Divided between fear, hatred, revenge, sadness, he did not know what to think. Faced with Kaeya's silence, his father pulled his spear from the ground, placing it right above his face. Kaeya closed his eyes, defeated. - "After all, you are long dead to me." - As he lowered his spear toward his son, excruciating pain shot up his leg. You had risen suddenly, snarling fiercely at his shin, which you had violently grasped in your maw.
"Kaeya! Don't let him get to you!" - Shocked, Kaeya took some time before grabbing his sword in his hand again, flaying his father's thigh as he lunged to get you away from him.
"Damn you, spirit!" - His spear flew at you, and he surely would have killed you if Diluc's claymore hadn't fatally pierced his abdomen. You let go of his leg as Diluc withdrew his blade from him, leaving the man's body to fall heavily to Kaeya's side. You joined him painfully, your aching body sure to have a few broken bones. With your head against Kaeya's chest, you couldn't stop your squeaks of pain and sadness from coming out of your throat. Kaeya tried to soothe you with caresses. Diluc, who was holding his belly wound with his hand to stop the bleeding, approached you both before sitting down painfully in front of you.
"Stupid... I told you to stay close to me, no matter what happens."
"Don't call me stupid, you fool. Diluc would have died if I hadn't cut him off."
"Shut up a little. You're both idiots." - Diluc muttered, exhausted. The silence that followed was not heavy, quite the opposite. The three of you were beginning to laugh painfully, the wounds reawakening with the vibrations of your laughter.- "What do we do with him?" - Diluc asked, pointing with his chin to the lifeless body lying next to Kaeya.
"I will take him to the headquarters of the Favonius knights and explain the situation to them. Khaenri'ah, my father, me. I'll tell them everything and..." - You screamed as a firm hand gripped the skin of your neck. His father's inert body trapped you in his grip as he slowly sank into a dark, muddy puddle, taking you with him. Kaeya had grabbed your front paws and was holding you to the surface while Diluc tried to pull away the hand that was clinging to you. - "Drop it!" - Kaeya shouted. You sobbed, moaning Kaeya's name. - "y/n, it's okay... It's okay... I won't let go of you." - He didn't believe it for a moment and you could feel it in the tremors in his voice. Diluc let go of the hand that was tearing at your skin, to hastily get up. He ran to pick up his claymore, which he had planted in the ground a few moments earlier, and returned to slice the arm that was holding you down. Too late, only your muzzle remained on the surface thanks to Kaeya's grip on your legs. - Diluc! Don't worry, I'll come back with her! Warn the others. Tell them to find a way to reopen a portal at this exact location!" - Kaeya gave her brother one last, desperate look before letting herself be dragged down into the abyss with you.
"KAEYA! Y/N!" - Diluc felt the ground, looking for any opening. Nothing. So he did as his brother, his friend, had asked. He rushed to Mondstadt, forgetting his wounds, forgetting the pain. He had to find the traveler and Venti, or rather Barbatos. They were the only ones who could save you both.
"Kae-"
Kaeya stirred painfully.
"Kaeya!"
He gasped, opening his eyes and gulping in a deep breath of air.
"Where-Where are we?" - He looked around the place. Everything was dark and eerie. A thick purple haze obscured the floor he was sitting on and the only illumination in the room turned out to be a dim flame of the same color. - "The abyss?" - Remembering why he was here, Kaeya looked around for you. - "y/n! You have nothing...- When he finally found you, the emotion took his breath away. There you were, sitting next to him, wearing the body you had before you died. Kaeya dodged all the questions that came to his mind to lock you in his arms, crying against your shoulder. Your hands gently caressed his back. - "How... How is this possible?" - He stepped back, cupping your face. - "y/n... I-"
"I know. I don't understand it either. When I woke up, I was already like this and my wounds were completely healed." - He tenderly stroked your hair, noticing after a few minutes that you were completely naked. Kaeya sniffed. He gently stood up and took your hand in his to help you.
"We need to get you some clothes." - You nodded, your cheeks flushed with modesty. - "Come on, there's a light down the hall." - He helped you walk on your slightly wobbly legs by wrapping your arm around his neck. As soon as you both reached the end of the hallway, Kaeya asked you to wait for him at the entrance. He wrapped the fur he always carried around your shoulders before pulling out his sword and stepping as quietly as possible into the dimly lit room. Strange noises were coming from the room. Rumbling, gurgling, the sound of liquid boiling on the fire. Even the decoration was unpleasant. Dragon heads hung on the wall, strange yet familiar plants in Kaeya's mind were drying in front of an alchemy table. Further on, on a long stone table, lay a kind of puppet whose head was covered with long blond hair. And then there was this person with his back to him, hidden by a cloak reflecting the stars, stirring a long wooden ladle in a cauldron.
"Took you two a while to wake up." - Kaeya gasped, alert. A woman's voice. Yet she hadn't turned around for a moment to check who was approaching her. - "Well, what are you waiting for? Take the clothes lying on that chair and give her something to warm up." - Kaeya looked at the chair set up not far from the strange woman. He slowly moved forward to grab the clothes, the sword in front of him in case this woman decided to trap him.
"y/n..." - He held the clothes out to you without taking his eyes off her. As soon as you grabbed them to get dressed, Kaeya resumed a more defensive posture. - "Who are you? A witch?"
"Witch? No, I'm an alchemist." - Slowly, she turned back to you, pulling down her hood to reveal her face.
"Impossible... Rhinedottir? What are you doing here?! In the abyss?!" - Kaeya advanced his blade until it touched the alchemist's neck, who did not tremble for a moment.
"Come on, lower your weapon Kaeya. Is this how you thank the one who saved you and gave that girl a body again?"
"What? Why?" - Rhinedottir chuckled before turning back to her cauldron.
"I guess... I was bored?" - She motioned for you both to sit in the chairs not far from her. - "Settle down. You're going to have to stay here for a while before those on the surface come to rescue you. Time acts differently in the abyss."
Two days later.
Barbatos, alerted by Diluc to the arrival of the abyss on his land and the disappearance of two of its inhabitants, brought to his side the two archons with whom the traveler had managed to establish a strong friendship. Offering his help, Albedo also proposed to study the remains of the portal in order to understand its functioning. With the help of Timaeus and Sucrose, Albedo was able to quickly unravel the mysteries surrounding the doors to the abyss.
Barbatos was surrounded by his friends from Mondstadt, but also by the traveler, Morax and Shogun Raiden. Some had joined them to lend their strength, their elemental powers. All of them were watching the runes that the three alchemists were drawing on the ground, surrounded by seven large circles represented by an element.
"Well, everything should work perfectly." - Albedo whispered more to himself than to the others. - "The elemental energy of the archons should be enough to make the portal work. Aether, everything will go through you. You must channel their energies and those of the others into you. For a brief moment, this should allow you to call upon your powers, the one that sits among the stars." - Aether slowly nodded and stood in the center of the circle. Paimon watched him step forward, worried about what might happen to his best friend if this went wrong.
"Alright, is everyone ready?" - Venti shouted to the participants. Morax and Baal stepped forward to the rings that were meant for them. Barbatos did the same. Farther on, Diluc, who had been cared for by Jean, went to join the circle bearing the pyro sign. Mona went to the hydro, Baizhu to the Dendro element and finally Eula, to the cryo. Once he had made sure everyone was in place, Venti signaled the archons to activate the runes.
"Two months already. How time flies. And it's already time to part ways."
"Rhinedottir... Are you sure you don't want to come with us?" - You tell him, a hint of sadness in your voice.
"No~ I don't belong on the surface yet... You, on the other hand..." - His hand caressed the mark on your neck. A dark star that Rhinedottir had carved into you, like a signature, after creating your body. - "It's time for you to find your people. They are waiting for you."
"Thank you, witch." - Kaeya teased.
"You're welcome, little prince." - And with her words, she pushed you both into the portal that had just opened in the wall behind you...
"There they are!" - Shouted a female voice.
"Kaeya! y/n!" - Diluc's voice brought you both back to reality. When you opened your eyes, the moon was high in the sky.
"Ah~ no need to shout, I can hear you..." - Kaeya grumbled.
When you straightened up, all eyes were on you. Jean was the first to step forward, hugging you affectionately.
"See Jean, I told you I wasn't crazy."- Scoffed Kaeya.
"It's a miracle." - Jean's tears flowed against your neck. Gently, she released you to look at you better. It was then that Venti noticed something on your neck. As he moved forward to get a better look, his fingers brushing your skin, his horrified eyes turned to Zhongli and Ei who simultaneously frowned. Venti finally turned his attention to Albedo, who cautiously approached the archon before kneeling before you and watching. He whispered...
"Rhinedottir..."
"I'm glad to see you both are doing well. Excuse me, I need to have a little chat with my classmates." - Venti stepped away, giving you one last reassuring smile before walking away, dragging with him archons and followers who had followed their master to discuss the danger that threatened Teyvat.
Kaeya stood up heavily, helping you to your feet. After many hours of discussion with their friends, they finally let you go home to rest.
A few weeks later. NSFW
Your hand moved back, leaving behind the mark carved on your neck. Your eyes focused on your reflection. You picked up the brush you had placed on your dressing table a few minutes before to continue brushing your hair. Your mind kept drifting to Kaeya...
"Kaeya..." - Strong arms immediately encircled your shoulders, causing you to flinch.
"Yes?" - Closing your eyes, you smiled tenderly as you felt his lips kiss your jaw.
"I didn't hear you come in. Did your day go well?" - Your hand caressed his arm.
"As usual. Jean entrusted me with a bunch of paperwork to read and sign, the young knights pestered me to train with me, and Diluc lectured me about my drinking."
"And he is quite right!" - Kaeya showed you a sulky look through the mirror.
"Everyone in this city is against me." - You chuckled softly.
"You know very well that's not true."
"It is true."
"It's not true!" - He grabbed your face and kissed you passionately, pulling away from you when he ran out of air.
"It's true... You optimistic little pain in the ass..." - Never had a smile been so sweet, so loving and so seductive as Kaeya's. He linked his lips to yours again, kissing and nibbling them languidly. His hands grabbed your waist to lift you from your chair, separating from your mouth for a moment to turn you to face him. He abruptly pushed everything on your dressing table to settle you there. His mouth found yours, eager for your taste. His hands slowly moved up your nightgown along your thighs to your hips. Then, he attacked your straps, discovering your chest free of any support. His lips left yours to go down along your neck, stopping a moment on your mark, that he licked greedily before continuing his descent towards your breasts. In return for all his attentions, you too unbuttoned his top and pants, revealing the need he was in. Kaeya moaned against your breasts, reacting to your hand on his member. He quickly moved away from you so that he could more easily remove the underwear that was still a barrier to him. He threw the lingerie away before wrapping your legs around his hips. - "Be mine, y/n, forever."
