reasons to keep all of your old aquarium stuff in a box: sometimes your filter randomly breaks down at 11pm on a Sunday and you have to pull out the old shrimp tank HOB to chug the tank through the night before you get a new one in the morning

#personal #petblogging #aquariums #aquablr #fishblr #I thought aquaclears were supposed to be reliable.....#it's the little metal rod that the impeller is mounted on it won't stay fixed and keeps coming loose and making horrific rattling noises #I'm going from an aquaclear 50 to a marina s10 but I think it'll be okay overnight for a planted 20 gal #couldn't fit the ceramic media but I stuffed the sponge into the s10 so it should be fine for bacteria colony #just gotta figure out what I'm gonna replace it with #I'd just replace the impeller shaft but I can't tell if it's the shaft or its insertion point that are the problem #(my heart says it's the insertion point)#am I gonna get another HOB or am I going to blow all my holiday zine windfall on a canister filter is the real question
