"Miles..."
Miles grunted out a non-committed answer, fingers rubbing around his wrist, and the scar marks from the spider that made his life Topsy turvy.
He ignored his guardian as the older sat next to him, "Hey kiddo."
Giving another nonsensical answer, miles smelled the tacos from his favorite truck. Grunting again, he took the offered bag, "gonna send me back to train with peter?"
"No."
"Because he can't train me... you said no. Did someone trade you out?"
Tony snorted taking a bite of his burrito, "no, but I talked to Peter. Whatever is going on with you, he can't train that."
Miles looked at him seeing the faint blue rings behind the dark brown eyes, "so... what now then?"
His guardian groaned leaning back on his gauntlets, legs lightly tapping against the wall, "up to you, want to come back home? Or... figure something else out?"
Miles heard the tinge of hope that he say back home, he take a piece of steak that was on his pants. He took as much as he want seeing faint cracks of electricity, "I want to go home."
Tony gave a grin, before taking a stand, helping miles up. Miles looked at him then the skyline, "not the tower right?"
"No, c'mon, no school tomorrow." Miles let his shoulders sag, falling into a hug.
Even as he was flown back home, Miles breathed in relief, Tony was okay right now. The nerves snapping at him as he thought about Norman being after Tony. They still don't know. They still have no idea where that spider is. They have no idea what is next for them.
He filed it all away, as he slouched into the warmth of the blanket that was tugged around his shoulders. A cheesy action movie playing, lulling him to sleep.
