been longing for community recently. been a long time since I felt like I had one. the pandemic squashed the ability to see folks who I used to hang out with, and after awhile I got tired of trying to keep up with friendships that felt one-sided. my coming out and subsequent divorce ended up pushing away people who I thought I had a stronger bond with. the last few years have felt like trying to finally get back up on my own two feet after having my world turned upside down.

I am genuinely grateful for my online friends. I wish every damn day that we all lived closer. I see the community and companionship we hold space for in our servers and just .... wholeheartedly ache to have it in person.

don't know why, but its just been getting to me in the last few weeks

#[static]#i think its the burn out tbh!#i want to hear laughter and see smiling faces and dog pile and hang out with the ppl I care about #i am usually really cool with solitude! and i dont need a ton of socializing #but after my husband and i lost our few friends during the pandemic its just been the two of us #and now that ppl are mostly pretending that the pandemic doesnt exist anymore its been ... hard to find ppl who give a damn #its also lowkey a little spooky to put ourselves out there as two trans ppl since we live in a somewhat red area #i just want to play dnd in person and go on hikes and make dinner withh friends!!!
