#spock & bones friendship is genuinely one of the best things ever#all throughout his autobiography spock references him and recalls shit he would say its so funny#at one point spock is like ‘yeah i would make a good diplomat because i can suffer fools (as mccoy could tell you)’ EVEN IN DEATH THE#PETTINESS CONTINUES#and i love how spock is like mccoy is the best person i know im sure hes having fun in hell <3#‘my absent friends’ got me tho i am punching the floor i am running around insane#and honestly thru the book i was like wow! mccoy is referenced a lot but kirk isnt unless he was directly involved in the action thats#interesting i wonder why. and then you get to the last two pages (the book is sectioned buy important ppl to spock and kirk is last) and#its so sad. fr spock is like everyone talks about him theres so many books about what can i add that hasnt already been said! and then he#says how can i write about someone so loved? which hurts because they had spent the last couple months on thin ice with each other over the#whole klingon treaty so. i feel insane#anyways HIGHLY recommend im making one more post abt it but otherwise i cant think to long about spock bc its so sad#captain’s log#tos#trek books
