#not to be all 'old man yells at sky'#but i feel like this whole '''''spitgate''''' shit is such a perfect display of the problem with the digital age#ive been feeling it recently unrelated to this situation or to harry in general#but just a realisation that the way ppl interact with content online in the last few years has become so concerning#like ppl have Genuinely gotten stupid#they dont engage their brains and their own critical thinking in order to come to a conclusion#as long as the Thing is entertaining or shocking or controversial.. thats enough for them#like im sorry but how are we living in a society that thinks harry styles just SPITS on ppl?????????#do they think its his first day outside??????#and its not even just ppl who hate him#i saw so many of his FANS be like wow i love harry but i dont know what to think#you dont know what to think..... ?? are you well in the brain ?#and its just mind boggling because there is no evidence or logic or motivation AT ALL#but logic is optional now#this is why stunts work so well#because ppl dont engage any critical thought beyond what theyre presented or what someone is telling them#and this is how misinformation gets spread so rapidly in every circle#im just.. blown away by what has happened these last few days#i despair for humanity#anyway good morning :)
