The Nahargarh Fort is a located atop the Aravalli Hills, in the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan.  Nahargarh once formed a strong defense cordon for the city.  The name of the Nahargarh fort was earlier Sudarshangarh, but after some time it came to be known as Nahargarh. Nahargarh Fort is considered to be one of the most famous places in Jaipur. 
Nahargarh is one of the largest forts in Rajasthan reflecting the heritage of Rajasthan. Nahargarh is considered one of the best places in Jaipur where people come from far and wide to visit, and also Nahargarh Fort is the only fort from where the whole of Jaipur is clearly visible. The view there is best seen in the morning.

Sawai Jaisingh II got the Jaigarh fort built on the Eagles hill and it was constructed in 1726 AD.  The height of Jaigarh Fort is up to 500 feet above sea level.  The fort of Jaigarh offers a bird's eye view.  The world's largest cannon 'Jaivana Cannon' is kept in Jaigarh.
