Bangkok, Thailand * Wat Pho * 16th century / 1788 (re-establishment) * one of the largest wats (Thai Buddhist temples) "wat" comes from an old Middle-Indo Aryan language (Pali) word vata, meaning "enclosure." Wat architecture adheres to consistent principles which have two parts. The Phutlhawat (dedicated to Buddha) and Sangkhawat (housing the living quarters for monks). Wat Pho has a 46m (150ft) long reclining Buddha and is also known as "The Reclining Buddha Temple." This is also the earliest center for public education in Thailand. . . . #japanesetourist #japanesetouristbangkok #seethailand #seebangkok #watpho #watpo #recliningbuddha #zyaoimedia #visitthailand (at Wat Pho) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7HwzMDAw5H/?igshid=17ofvjns30tda
