Rest in power to Jason David Frank (1973- 2022)
What I admired about him was that he embraced the Tommy Oliver character, the Power Rangers legacy and he didn’t take the fans for granted. Thank you for being a part of my childhood.

Happy 50th JDF
I made this after he passed, I know it's not really a birthday kind of drawing but it helps me remember him all the same...

American actor and mixed martial artist Jason David Frank has passed away at age 49 by suicide. He’s best known for his role as Tommy Oliver in the Power Rangers franchise starting with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
After studying many different styles of martial arts, he created his own martial arts style called “Toso Kune Do,” which combines Shōtōkan, Wadō-ryū, Taekwondo, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, and Aikido.

This one hits very differently because, he was the childhood hero of so many and after I found his social media years ago, I saw how much he cared about his fans.
He cared about all of his fans so much and made sure to have them entertained and feel loved and in return, we made him feel loved.
To find out that he committed suicide is just painful to another level. It's literally how it felt when I found about Chester's death.
Talk to your family and friends everyone, you never know who needs you or when it will be the last time you see them
Rest in Peace, Jason David Frank

Some pieces I did inspired by the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Aways special. I've aways been more a super sentai guy, but I watch the first seasons of Power Rangers and have fond memories of the late Thui Trang.

RIP to my fave Green Ranger, a fundamentally fun part of my childhood. Without Power Rangers, I would have never discovered comics. Rest in peace, Jason David Frank.
