A Boss and A Babe - halfway through the series and I am still enjoying it.

Sure, Cher makes a terrible intern (but then again, Gun makes a terrible boss - I’m sure out of dramaland, his moves on Cher can be ground for harassment 🫣). However, you can tell these 2 needed each other - they both have flaws, they are both lonely (despite Cher’s default effervescent personality), and the 2 of them complement each other, finding solace and someone who they can bounce each other fears and inspiration.

I also adore Cher’s group of gamers - From Jake who looks compose but struggles with depression and financial difficulties. To the surprisingly mature but sweet relationship between Thi and Zo (who will have thought young Zo is the more mature/grounded one in the relationship?), and big brother Tubtab always there on the background to give sensible advice.

Not sure where we are heading next but I assumed Cher’s complicated relationship with his ex younger brother will come to head while Gun’s fight with ex-friend Thyme will also implode at some stage.

But I’m looking forward to it! It’s like a prelude to how Force and Book will be in Only Friends (which I cannot wait!!! , cause you know - Firstkhao will be in it 😂🤣)

GMMTV2024 Hopes + Predictions

Predictions:

It's clear that G4 is becoming GMMTV's new BW since ON didn't work out. They will definitely have more concerts, and their ship is too lucrative for GMMTV to NOT give them a series. If they do get another one, I definitely think it'll be another school-based series. One thing is for sure though, they will be working like crazy next year.

While we're on the topic, Gemini might just get his het drama. I think we could even see him star in one of GMMTV's classic ensemble het shows or even a non-romance series. If he gets one, they'll definitely try to make it a non-threatening pair (knowing Thai entertainment it could be a slight age difference pairing).

Possibly another MSP special episode, second season or movie. This is one of my most far-fetched predictions but there's something about how G4 pulled out of 23.5 and Mark pulled out of Cooking Crush that gives me the vibe that they want to have another season of MSP possibly giving more screentime to the TiwPor couple.

There will be another The Warp Effect/Friendzone-esque drama that will introduce a BL pair we never knew we wanted. Maybe Lee Thanat X other seasoned GMMTV actor..

If MilkLove shows promise, ViewJune will get a GL.

Hot take but I think we'll get another PerthChimon-led series. GMMTV DUMPED budget into them and, barring a disaster, I can't see them fading the same way ON did.

We will continue to see JoongDunk have international fanmeets, concerts, etc. I can even see GMMTV focusing less on making a good series for them and more on selling tickets and merch.

OffGun will not have a series next year.

I have no basis for this prediction but I feel like either Tay, Off, or Perth will get a movie. (watch me be wrong lol).

One of the babies will get their first puppy love BL, probably near direct knock-offs of either Bad Buddy or MSP, since those were massively successful. My bet is on Indy or Ohm (not a baby but we move) leading. Chokun or Java could be a second lead/part of the second couple.

A GMMTV basement dweller (e.g., Podd, Pleum Pongpisal, etc.) will have their 2023 Gawin moment and resurrect their BL career with a more established, yet unpaired GMMTV actor.

To put a cap on it, I predict there will be a similar amount of BLs as there were last year (9 +/-2), another QL ensemble series (like The Warp Effect), and another GL (likely led by View OR Jan + [insert girl here]).

Hopes

NEOMARK SERIES. Idgaf what it is, hell it can be these two watching paint dry for 45 minutes every friday, just don't fumble this highly lucrative bag @.GMMTV!!

Another gritty series directed by Anucha Boonyawatana (or even Jojo lol).

Another TayNew series, please. I know Cherry Magic hasn't even aired yet and I sound greedy but bitch these two are killing me lately.

Stop casting Pawin in literally every BL if he's only going to be a villainous side character lmao. It takes me out of the story instantly when I see him plotting in the background in every show.

GIVE AJ A BL. Bring back Fiat if you can and let that ship SAIL.

JoongDunk and ForceBook need breaks...shake these pairs up. Give Joong het roles, let Force kiss other men, enroll Dunk and Book in improv! They already have all these concerts and reality shows, let them do that for awhile before filling your entire lineup with just these 4 pairings.

Inn Sarin in anything, but hopefully with a seasoned hottie.

Midnight Museum, episode 4 - The Terrestrial Rock

The show open with some peak in the past for Dome - and we see that Dome Gun was originally Dome Boom but a mysterious meteor shadow that hit him on his 23rd bday meant he woke up the next day as Dome Gun with no memory what has happened to him. But we did see Khatha catching a glimpse of Dome Gun on the street, and that started his stalking (🫣) ahem, I mean info gathering

Meanwhile, the crystal rock (which reminds me of the infinity stones from the Avengers movie) has turned up in a boarding school on the hand of Auto (Java Bhobdhama) a young teenager who is clearly having trouble fitting in. His roommate Jay (Indy Thanathat) , as an act of kindness invited him to an illegal midnight party held by Game, played by Pawin (when will he get a decent, leading role GMMTV???). It basically was hell for Auto who got hazed. It ended with Auto being possessed by the rock, which we later learn has the power of the universe and brings out the darker side of a person. Auto essentially killed everyone at the party (inc Jay).

The poor boy (Auto) looked in disbelief and horror when he woke up from his possession, and questioned by Bam at the police station.

Meanwhile, curious 🧐 Dome managed to get his hand on the rock, and we get a disjointed message about him having a mission and possibly an alien??? Anyhow, Khatha sternly told him never to touch the rock again (seriously, this dude should learn by now Dome does not listen to you, especially cause Khatha indulges him (the amount of times he keeps cupping Dome’s cheek) while saying sentences like “You must be at my sight at all times.” 😂 - Khatha is such a softie for Dome

We again end up with both Dome and Khatha teaming up to reclaim the rock (and unfortunately both Auto and Jay, who got revived by the rock as evil Jay) were vanquished in a ball of purple flame in the process. But Dome also got possessed by the rock, almost killing Khatha until the latter managed to get through to him - “Dome, come back to me.”

However, Dome is worried that he will continue to be danger to Khatha and the rest of the museum staffs, convincing Khatha to lock him in a room.

We finished the episode with a mysterious, heavily tattooed woman staring into photos of Dome and Khatha on her iPad (who is she???). Plus, we saw a glimpse of Khatha past (as in May 1820), where he found a modernly dressed Dome sleeping/passed out in a floating boat.

(This series continues to intrigue me, the amount of mysteries overlapping each other is interesting - I’m looking forward to see what is the connection between Khatha and Dome!)
