In general, I think my favorite is when Kaeya learned about me. Diluc had already announced our relationship to the public during the windblume festival and Kaeya was pressing him for details about me. But Diluc, being... Well, himself, refused to give Kaeya any information about me. I don't think Kaeya actually believed him haha. Anyways. Couple months pass. Kaeya is at the winery (drunk) and apparently looking for something (probably a hidden bottle since Diluc doesn't let him in the cellar). He goes into our bedroom and he sees my comatose body on the bed, Sleeping Beauty style. I guess he just stopped, turned around and left after that and for awhile, he was avoiding going near the winery 😭 (Much to Diluc's amusement)

Generally, they're just much more well behaved. And OFFLINE. They're far more respectful in most regards, and did I mention offline? They seem less likely to act bratty and entitled, like throwing tantrums when they're told no, and they're more receptive of boundaries. If you asked me which one I was more likely to see screaming in public, I'd say kids here. I believe the adaptation for neurodivergent kids is also superior than here, which is good because the Autism is strong with this one. I think the most out of pocket kid is Klee and even then, she's extremely respectful and kind. Diluc actually babysits her occasionally, and she plays with Diona as well. Even Diona, who would kill to see the fall of the wine industry, acts civil and respectful to Diluc when they're around each other. In summary, the kids are very emotionally mature, aware and receptive to fixing and learning from their mistakes.

I was laying down and I essentially had a vision of being heavily pregnant with Diluc beside me. The vision flashed and suddenly there's two twin girls, about 6 years old, running around the winery halls. This vision was from months ago but I still find myself drawn to it and thinking about it.

Like, tell me he would not be the biggest girl dad. That man would adore letting his kids play with his hair. I love to think about the domestication of it all.

How is everyone's height in Teyvat? as in are they accurate to the game, are people taller or shorter than you expected?

I know for me I was surprised by how short the medium model was lol (Lumine, Barbara, Keqing, etc.) They are shorter than I thought, I remember talking to Keqing and I was like wow she's tiny 😭

Very different than I thought! Diluc is 6'6 and I'm 5'3. I come to about his shoulders standing beside him, not taking my ears into account. I've looked at the game models to compare them and that's actually the height ratio of his in game model and the medium height women models. He's also the only one I can give a solid number for off the top of my head 😭

What's something that you always cringe at when people write Diluc in fanfics? Like, popular tropes or things you've seen that he'd NEVER say or do?

I can't quite think of anything that makes me "cringe" so to say, but one thing I see a lot of people assume is that because he's this prestige gentleman that he must be a suave, flirty heartthrob, right? Nah. I've mentioned it before but he was so unsure how to talk to me, he asked Cyno for flirting tips. He didn't start off with something cool and smooth, he was advised to ask if I wanted to leave covered in hickeys. He tried. It didn't necessarily land, but it got us talking.

He is absolutely not casual. This is actually something I got wrong before we started dating! Before I met him, I was writing a fic where the MC was in a fwb secret situationship w him, and then was kidnapped by fatui. I wrote that he denied having any emotional connections to the MC and broke off the situationship so she wouldn't be used as a target again. In reality? If the Fatui were to kidnap me, he would go back to Snezhnaya and finish what he started when he was 18. I see a lot of people characterize him as being kinda laid back and nonchalant when it comes to Romance, but let me tell you: He is a yandere in the healthiest way possible.

PDA? Yes please. Compliments? He loves seeing me get flustered. Jealousy? Oho, he is a very emotionally secure man, but if you even looked at me in a way he didn't like, I know he'd start a multi week scheme. If someone hurt me? Well, it's very much established that he has contacts all across Teyvat so.. nothing can really be traced back to him.

He also slips up his tough guy, polished aristocrat act occasionally. He one time dropped a "yo" on accident and I never let him forget.

Tldr: He's a dork. He just doesn't show it. He'll never admit it, but I see the happy side of him that I've previously been told has been lost to time.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the displeasure, yet. However, when Diluc announced our relationship, it was during one of his charity events that I had helped him organize. A very good chunk of people were... Disappointed to hear the news 🤭 Fathers who wanted him to take their daughters' hand, said daughters of upset fathers, I can't IMAGINE how the Lawrence clan reacted, given that I'm a "commoner" lmaoooo

I'm very much not a picture perfect noble woman, in case you couldn't tell. I swear like a sailor, bounce around like an ADHD fueled crackhead, wear lots of alternative clothing styles and don't hold back my tongue for presentation purposes. Diluc loves how authentic I am, but understandably, a lot of people look at me and go "That's????? His wife???????????? But they're so???? Different?????????????" And yeah. We're polar opposites. It's one of my favorite things about us.

I'm high and I'm listening to the playlist I made way back when, before I met Diluc and was in the middle of planning to write a fanfiction of my Genshin OC and him being in a secret bdsm, friends-turned-FWB, will-they-wont-they, angst/healing situationship. It makes me think of how I wrote him and how different he actually is. It's so funny because now I look back and I'm like "Why did I ever think that??" About how I thought he would be. I also laugh now knowing he was watching me gush and infodump to my friends about how invested and in love with writing this story I was. And he just. SAT THERE WATCHING ME.

In the story I was writing, I wrote that he was easy around women and was used to being flirted with and hooked up. Now I know he was so unsure how to approach me, he asked Cyno of all people for advice. Now I know he really isn't much of a playboy or a flirt.

In the story I was writing, he focused more on keeping up social appearances and building walls, staying stoic and cold outside. In reality, he liked me as soon as he saw me and neither one of us were casual. We were both very awkward. But he was so proud of being mine. He'd talk about me to Adelinde and was so happy to tell persistent crushers that he was taken when they approached him again. He'd adopt two kittens for me and get an entire wardrobe for me before I'd even shifted. He'd commission Albedo to make me a body so I could shift to him. He'd promise me a life of financial freedom, health, magic, and a thriving world of joy. He'd give me nicknames and left marks in obvious places. He'd look at getting a collar and engagement ring. He was just as down bad for me as I was for him. He was very cuddly and affectionate, he'd instinctively grab me in his sleep like a stuffed bear, pulling me back anytime I moved, and mumbling my pet name. He played along with my dumb little jokes and I eventually got him to quote a vine that I always quoted. He's just as non serious with me as he is serious with everyone else. It's truly a night and day difference, but his kindness stays the same. He honestly is the Gomez to my Morticia.

And I look at that hilarious image I had of him and I go "wow, what was I thinking?"

Because most people speak super flowery and poise in Teyvat and people here use a lot of slang and abbreviations, do you and Diluc ever just not understand each other? Does he have to go on Urban Dictionary to figure out what people are saying?

He did not understand a lot of slang at first. I would purposely use brain rot terms later on because he hated them lol (i.e "Damn bae you got some dank skibidi rizz today fr. Have you been mewing? On God? On jah?" He probably thought he was having an aneurysm the first time I said that). IRL, people in Teyvat speak pretty normally, at least from who I've spoken to. The "translated anime" kind of dialogue is toned down, and everyone speaks naturally. I whole heartedly plan to teach Klee brainrot however.

As for the clothes, I've gotten some info downloads of a few outfits I have. I know I have a very summery, bouncy yellow tulle dress and most of my wardrobe is probably as expensive as Diluc's. I know he wanted to surprise me with spoils for when I arrive, and has Adelinde dress me up like a doll every day so that I'm taken care of. The yellow dress is the only one I've been able to discern, but I can't WAIT to go around looking like the fashion child version of Wriothesley and Varesa

Does mondstat have light pollution? Cause if not then those stars are gonna be a trip when I get there. Also, how many people does mondstat have? Did Diluc ever tell you?

It has some light pollution as street lights stay on, but as it's only one city and they have no LED or blue light, it's much less polluted than typical cities here. The stars are easily viewable. I'd say all the art pieces of the game where you can see all the details of space is PRETTY accurate. I also don't know the size of Mondstadt exactly, but it's massive. Like, actually properly city sized. The game does a huge disserve to the immersion of the city.

When I think of Mondstadt, I think of Corona from the original Tangled. That general feel as a whole. German based, lively bustling streets, a healthy community, the love of art and music everywhere. Basically, your standard fantasy city.

Albedo actually agreed to give Diluc a letter I wrote for his birthday. I don't know if he did since my friend needs to be sneaky when they want to talk to me so I haven't been able to ask. But I detailed how I get to talk about him to all of you and how far I've come with shifting.

Now, the ones that were FUNNY were Adelinde and Kaeya. Diluc's bedroom while he was here had a kind of "portal" hidden behind his closet that let him go between his hosts headspace and his source world for certain amounts of time. Diluc had to explain to Adelinde that she couldn't meet me because I lived in another reality and he showed her the entry point like "I have not lost my mind yet, I swear." (She can't enter it btw, she just saw its existence. And it closed behind Diluc after he went dormant here.)

Kaeya is an alcoholic. A bad one. Like. Breaks into the winery to steal alcohol while drunk, bad. So after Albedo finished my body, Diluc decided he'd watch over me in his bedroom until I woke up. Snow White shii. Kaeya, one night, broke in to steal some liquor, went into our bedroom, and found my comatose body laying in bed. Diluc had announced our relationship already and when Kaeya had previously asked for details, Diluc didn't give him any. Idk if Kaeya even believed him. But. He sure did after. According to Diluc, he was pretty... Wary, towards going to the winery for a while 😭

For the Mondstadt Harvest Festival (held around our Halloween), I told Diluc to set up my body in inconspicuous places throughout the manor all month, just to scare Kaeya. He said no, but found it just as entertaining lol

First and foremost, to answer your "host" question, and for those new to my blog or just might've missed it:

Yes, I am shifting to Teyvat, however I met Diluc here. He was a part of a friends (professionally diagnosed) DID system. We dated for a year here and he fully supported my belief in shifting, even asking Albedo to create a body for me to shift to when he returned to Mondstadt. His hosts partner was becoming increasingly abusive and controlling and when I called them out, they forced that friend to cut me out. I'm now in talks w this friend again, as they're hiding it behind their partner's back, but after the separation, Diluc chose to go dormant, as his awareness would go back to Mond where he could wait for me to shift. And before anyone tells me this is not possible, I have multiple system shifter friends, some of whom have alters who are also into the practice. The reason I can give so many details about my experiences with him, yet not as many from Mond, is because all of my experiences with him have been *here*.

Ok, now that that's clarified. The biggest thing he hates about America? I think the idea of profit over people. He's always trying to help people and redistribute his wealth with charity events, general hospitality, fundraisers and ofc his persistent vigilance as both an aristocrat, an ex-knight and the Darknight Hero. Everyone here he says is so selfish, so self absorbed, but he also understands that some people need to be selfish here to survive.

Again, unfortunately can't answer the healthcare question as I haven't been sick there (thank the archons), but given that my body was created by Albedo, I'm pretty sure I could just go to his lab for any ailments I'm facing. If not, there's always the healers at the Favonius chapel and if it's really bad, Dr. Baizhu in Liyue. A lot more options for treating the ill, tbh.

There are a lot of bard tunes and generally "medieval" tavern music, but that doesn't mean modern style music isn't popular! For example, Barbara is a pop adjacent idol! I actually have a few songs here that I'd like to teach her, like Drop Pop Candy or Good Luck, Babe! Diluc likes jazz and classical music (lmao fuckin nerd /lh) and I like... metal. Yes, the screaming kind. My favorite band (Ice Nine Kills) has two albums based on horror movies. Thankfully, INK doesn't exist in Teyvat but if they did, oh.... Poor Adelinde. Her poor eardrums. There are others from Teyvat in the same friends' system who enjoy our music here too, like I know Cyno likes Maneskin. Generally, while the artists and bands may not carry over, I think the general vibe of similar music is there. Unfortunately, the only "punk" I know of is Xinyan and she's a doll, so I could be completely wrong, but I think it's primarily the aesthetic of punk that was adopted rather than the political aspect.

Mondstadt food! I wouldn't say it's *bland*, per se. Aside from having professionals in the manor kitchen and the best ingredients Mora can buy, there's definitely a unique array of spices and herbs that we don't have here. However, they primarily get imported from Sumeru, iirc. Which reminds me, Teyvat has a lot of things from here, but call them something else. One time I was asking Diluc about some of his favorite cocktails to make and he told me it included "that coconut rum you like, in the white bottle". I asked if he meant Malibu and he said yes, it's the same one but called something else. So it's entirely possible that my word is moot and everything here Does have a counterpart there that I am just unaware of.
