I was just chatting with @thepicturebookbox today about the importance of quality early readers and short chapter books, so it seemed like a great day to share another favourite from my personal bookshelf: "Tales of Oliver Pig" (1979) by Jean van Leeuwen. 📙 Illustrated by the wonderful Arnold Lobel (Frog and Toad), this is a book of five adorable short stories about young Oliver, his toddler sister Amanda, and their parents. Oliver is such a sweet, relatable character, and Amanda steals the show with her well-meaning mistakes.
