Saying Goodbye to Redwood Harbor

You guys, here we are...The last day of the playthrough until I cycle through my other saves! There is so much going on, I hate to leave off like this, but it's time to move on for a while.

The day started with Lloyd playing with toys and generally being adorable!

Looks like it's Alyson on child care duty for the morning.

Jerrod prepared for the last day of school before summer vacation.

Art School

After that eventful day/night Jess couldn't even crawl into bed and instead crashed on the couch.

Jerrod enjoyed his first night in his new bedroom. The dishwasher, not so much.

And Alyson was off collecting at the break of dawn.

Jess got an opportunity to teach a children's art class!

Alyson's collecting took her to Lover's Lane Falls where she ran into Reggie who seemed to finally have time for her.

That is until they went on a date to the Java Hut. IDK, maybe he was avoiding sitting next to her because she was stinky after all the collecting!

I decided to peruse around the building to see who else was there...OMG! Of course Brianna is there! She really IS stalking Reggie!

Hey! Way to go Reggie! Now if you can keep it that way! You've got two kids with Jess that need your support!

Full Moon Fun

It's the full moon and Alyson and Jerrod are playing chase in the front yard! Poor Jerrod! While I don't think there are actually monsters under your bed, I bet there will be some outside your home soon!

That's better safe inside! And I decided Alyson needed a new look!

She was in bed, I guess so it was up to Alyson to feed both Yvonne and Zachery and make sure they got to bed on time. OMG! Zachery, you are absolutely a mini Clark! That nose and those eyes!

That's One Tasty Sandwich

It's a bright and beautiful Summer morn!

Heeeyy! Kyle has been making use of the planters I placed in his new house! He'll need that to progress in his science career, at least for the next few years. I have some major changes both for some of my sims and for the whole town in general! Those will be coming down the pipeline next round!

Looks like Andrae is off of work again. I'm guessing it's the weekend. [it's been a really long time since I actually played this week, I'm about an entire sim year ahead as I write this :) ]

That face! Bahahaha! That must be one stinky diaper!

Daniella is off to the Family Center! Gosh that takes me back to my own childhood. We were feral, LOL! We spent literally the entire day on our bikes!

So poor Andrae, finally got dressed and headed out to get a little alone time. He must be exhausted!

Looks like Brianna is too engrossed in her chess game to notice.

Precious is making lunch; hmm...will this compel any sims to come home?

Yep! Right on cue!

Everyone began to wind down early. Andrae just went straight to bed again, Precious settled down with a good book, and Daniella went back to her painting!

Aww...She's dreaming about home!

And Andrae is up for his child care shift! Boy, I bet these sims wish there was such a thing as sleep training in the game!

And we end the night with some town notifications! Hmmm...I'm not much for renaming babies born in game, I like to imagine my sims went through names while pregnant and chose on their own what to name their kids, but I just HAVE to change that baby's name to Frank...

A Charmed Life

I'm switching households for the season, so I finally took the opportunity to move the Baldwins from the tiny "lucky" apartment! Looks like the local press is here to see them off to greener pastures!

Summer also means time to send kiddos from split households to their non-custodial parents for the season, so they don't lose touch. I dropped into the different households before moving onto our next household to make sure they had all the cribs etc. they needed. Reggie's place is a mess as per usual.

Here we are! It's time to play the Gillis household and catch up with Andrae, Precious and their children! They have done quite well for themselves as you can see.

Daniella aged into a child and practicing that side eye! She must have taken some lessons from Harold, LOL! She looks so much like Andrae!

Precious was off to work! I just love watching my sims in their cars, through their windows, etc. ...I promise I'm not a creeper!

Look at that! I know a lot of people don't like to miss things when they're in other households while playing rotationally, but I kind of love it! It makes it feel so much more real to me that my sims will develop hobbies and skills on their own. It always gives me something fun to read in my notifications.

Andrae has spent his whole day off in his pjs...I won't judge, LOL!

Umm...Daniella sank into the ground to do her homework and then turned completely invisible. Looks like it's time for a reset!

Andrae's ready for some baby cuddles with Feisal and Daniella is ready for some computer games.

All's quiet in the house. Shana and Feisal are both asleep, Andrae is catching up on the news and Daniella is finishing up her gaming session. Maybe she's heading to bed too.

Or to paint autonomously! Like I said, they all have their own hobbies and skills!

Good job Shayne! Now if you can just keep it that way!

I kept hearing voices outside and went to investigate. There was a protest about squids(!?) at the park right next door!

Precious took over toddler duties when she got home.

Moving On

After years of fights, money troubles and some other things I'm just getting privy to, Alyson and Terrell broke up for good a while back and she moved in with Clark and Jess. Terrell has had the kids for the summer, but now fall is beginning and it's time to send them back to Alyson for the school year. He loves both his boys, so it's got to be hard on him, but at least he and Alyson are peacefully co-parenting.

Come on! Really!!?? The babysitter stole his plant! Well at least he has enough money to make it through this round after selling off all his musical instruments. This is really a time of trial and change for Terrell. Not only has he had to get used to living away from his kids, but he had to sell off his house that was fitted specifically to foster his band career, and now just to survive, his instruments have all been sold. Zombie Roommate is officially broken up, but Terrell isn't ready to give up on music entirely. (PS...of course Reggie is still there, just dancing the night away while Terrell sleeps...LOL!)

Yep! He's swallowed his pride and begun from square one again, this time as a sing-a gram. If nothing else, he should at least be earning a weekly paycheck!

Bright and early, he's getting around to sing anywhere he can! He's out to prove himself this round!

OMG!!! Brianna!! Seriously?? Great! Terrell is trying to get his life together and his current girlfriend is just stalking her ex again, who happens to be a good friend...

OMG! Alicia! Who would have guessed in that very first round! Prize Winning Author, well done!

And it's off to the best place I could think of to drum up some attention, the Winter Festival! Time to sing some grams and bob for some apples!

When he woke up he blipped off to a party at the Marks household...Literally, he walked up the stairs of the porch, and then ran off to perform for Alicia, but hey, Dmitri, you're welcome...I'm sure it was a blast of a party, LOL!

I happened to notice a TON of sims were congregating at the family center so why not? Terrell can use every simoleon he can get!

OMG! No! Please don't pee!!

Phew! He made it to the bathroom in the arcade, and bonus! Alyson had taken Jerrod bowling, so he got to catch up with him before heading home!

Another Move

As promised, I used the proceeds from Jess and Alyson's works to move the household into a larger home. Right next door to Clark and Edith, these Sims just can't get away from each other LOL! Is it just me or does Jerrod look a little anxious?

I packed inventory as I did with the Gale's so there is plenty of money to hold them over. Looks like everyone is settling in. I wonder if Alyson is happy to be back in her old neighborhood or if living next door to the house she formerly shared with Terrell is bringing back any bad memories?

Hey! Another of the Jones's kids has aged up!

Alyson was wide awake and it wasn't too late for a Love Day date with her current boyfriend (Reggie...again the dynamics of this particular group of sims), but he turned her down and I soon found out why...

Real nice Reggie! You threw a Love Day Party which doesn't surprise me, but your actual girlfriend wasn't even invited! I didn't know anything about this party! Well that's okay, I really don't like these two as a couple anyway, maybe they'll split up soon.

Hannah Marks has aged up!

Well it's getting late finally, time to round up the kids. Jerrod has his own makeshift room in the office, but it's better than sharing a room with his mom and Jess. Hmm... where is Jess anyway, I haven't seen her in a bit.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?? AGAIN??? By this point in time who HASN'T been abducted by aliens!!??

Oh, poor girl! She came home crying!

It's the wee hours of the morning, just taking stock of everyone, got to make sure no one else gets abducted or anything before I send them all to bed again.

For reference we have:

Alyson and her two kids with Terrell--Jerrod and Lloyd.

Jess and her three kids--Zachery with Clark, and Yvonne and Javon with Reggie.

So that's two adults, one kid, three toddlers and one infant--yep looks like everyone is here!

Well that took nearly all day! If you look closely, you can catch a glimpse of Jess working on ANOTHER painting in the background, which she finished in the time it took me to sort through every painting in her and Alyson's inventories!

Yes I'm Switching Households Again

Alright, I know that technically this was supposed to be my week with the Gallo household...but...I did a week this rotation with Edith before she and Clark autonomously married. With those two married, and Alyson moved in, I moved Clark and Edith into their own home. Which means...I haven't dropped in on Jess OR Alyson in literal Sim years! I've decided to follow them the rest of the week because, frankly, they needed some intervention. Now, Jess has just given birth to Reggie's second child, but they broke up as you may remember. Reggie is now dating Alyson! Upon further investigation, I discovered that Terrell wasn't the only one with a wandering eye in that relationship! Facepalm.

It was the middle of the night when I dropped in and found Alyson taking a midnight dip.

Oh boy! I wonder if this means Jess won't be getting child support this week.

Lol! Jess's face says she's worried about the same thing.

Hmm...Jess is an avid artist and Alyson is another collector sim, I wonder if they have enough in inventories to get a bigger home?

What's the babysitter doing here?! Jess is home, they don't need him here taking money!

Jess sent him home and finished getting the kiddos all ready for bed. Aww, how cute!

Summer's End

I was going to delete this crib last night so Karim could get a good night's rest in his bed, unfortunately Corinna plopped Dante in it before I had a chance, so Karim was in for a rude awakening his first full day of childhood!

Oh yay! The townie kids are making friends with the kids from my families!

After Dante's tantrum, Karim was off to Camp Quasimodo for some alone time.

Yay! Thomas should be on track for a promotion soon, and I'm hoping Corinna gets promoted today...fingers crossed!

And she did!!!

She ran upstairs to the wedding venue for a few celebratory drinks before heading home.

Woohoo!! Their lives are going to get so much easier now that one of the kiddos is more self suffcient! Enjoy your yummy cake!

I'm not sure what Jerrod is wearing...does he think it's Spooky Day?? Anywho, he's apparently heard there's a second kiddo in town because he randomly showed up to introduce himself!

Corinna is perpetually sleep deprived and went to bed straight away after work.

Thomas read to Karim, and then did a little reading himself, a book for work!

Every Little Bit Counts

Corinna, exhausted with three kids under five got up for work, took a shower and then took a nap, poor girl!

Wilson Moore has now aged up!

Oh boy! Looks like a third kiddo is on the way for the Marks family!

Thomas is up and ready for work as well. I hope the babysitter gets here soon!

This is so cute! I love that Alyson autonomously checks on her kids while it's Terrell's week to have them!

Ummmmm...Who is this!!?? I am POSITIVE Corinna has been pregnant only three times! Did she have twins at some point and my game ate one of them?? I checked and no one else in the family, Thomas included, has any memory or connection to this kid! What in the world???

Oh gosh! It looks like the mail carrier is afraid to leave their bills. Lulu Chadwick comes over from next door to chase him whenever she sees him. Please don't lose our mail!

Yep...I missed it, but there were literal envelopes falling from his bag!

Corinna is just checking the newspaper. No new news I see.

A little canoodling on the couch while the kids sleep never hurt anyone...make that two of three kids sleeping.

Down time is so rare and precious when your kids are all this age, but you'll miss it once it's gone.

Bursting at the Seams

It's a beautiful sunrise for dropping in on the Jones family and after selling off some inventory they have just enough money to move...next door!

They are now next door also to the Chadwick household who seem to have an adorable dog gnome hanging out at their house!

Well it looks like their youngest, Dante is up bright and early! Maybe he's ready to go through the town notifications...

What!!?? Well this isn't the wedding I was planning for the summer, but congrats you two! I can't believe you've been engaged long enough already!

I had been planning for Jess and Reggie to finally get hitched! They've been engaged for well over a year! I know I really intervened with Alicia and Kyle, but those two literally ONLY ever dated each other. With Reggie and Jess, I'm getting notifications for flirtations quite a lot...and of course, there's the whole Jess and Clark flirting at Reggie's party thing...Now that Clark is officially married, I'm really hoping that situation is over.

Hmm...I figured Clark would just move in with Edith...maybe he wanted to take Zachery with him or something. He is with Zachery a LOT more than Jess ever is autonomously.

Aww...

Don't get too preoccupied with making pancakes, Thomas...it looks like Karim and Tana just woke up!

Everyone looks to be settling into their new home well!

Time to give Corinna a quick makeover, I don't think I've done much with her makeover wise the entire game!

It looks like Jerrod is thriving as our first born in game kiddo to age into childhood! Karim is set to age up this week too!

Both Thomas and Corinna learned a new recipe before Thomas ran off to a party at the Bright/Torrez household. LOVE the dance moves Thomas, LOL!

Oh boy! Looks like the meager amount Alyson is paying for the kids while they're with their dad sure isn't helping him! This is the last straw. It's time to put Zombie Roommate to rest. I'm due to play Terrell next so I'm going to get him a steady job. There's just no choice anymore.

On another note, with all the split households I have forming in Redwood Harbor, I've decided on a plan for determining custody. For the rest of this rotation, children will go with their mothers for the school year, but with their fathers for the summer. That way, no one will fall out of touch entirely. At the start of the next rotation, I will evaluate the relationship of each child with their parents and whomever has the higher relationship will be considered custodial parent. They will still go with their respective non custodial parents for the summer.

I'm also going to have to review my child support settings again, it should be set at 3% of income per child so $14 seems super low!

We end our first night with Thomas getting attacked by a zombie, facepalm...Thankfully he got away!

Seems a Good Way to End the Night

Well after that enchanted walk with Forrest's stroller being either influenced by ET or maybe enchanted by Vigo of Ghostbusters II fame, I decided to reset the whole household! And Billy was immediately off to find collectables and I am all for that! So many of my families have been either completely or nearly out of money this round that I'm going to have to check and see what is going on with my tax settings. In the meantime, at least I know one family will have plenty to tide them over.

Now that Marsha has been practicing her speech so much she decided to get the want to increase her skill again so it was back to the mirror for her!

Time to settle the kiddos for the last night of Spring and it looks like Billy is also taking a break from his collecting...

He's just chilling out at one of the premade wedding venues in Redwood Harbor. Looks like Joanna is there getting a drink from the keg that's been there literally since Thomas and Corinna's wedding back in round 1 LOL! That has GOT to be some fermented juice by now! LOL!

And Billy has spotted it! So this is the reason he came to hang out here!

So we end our time with the Noel's this round with Billy staving off hunger by use of the "juice" keg, Marsha back at gaining charisma and the first of our born in game toddlers aging up to a child!!! Yay! Congratulations Jerrod! Bring on the birthdays!

Long time, no see

It has been in game years since we’ve last checked on Alyson, Terrell and their little one, Jerrod. When I clicked in, Alyson was on her way to the McCalister home in the middle of the night! I’m not sure they really want company at this time of night...

Or, maybe I was wrong Joanna was wide awake! Oh my, what did my game dress poor Joanna in for maternity!?

I know I’ve seen Terrell and Alyson fighting around town and they are autonomously sleeping in different rooms so I checked on their relationship status. Well they are still dating and definitely attracted to each other, but look at that bar in the red! Oh no, that doesn’t bode too well.  I guess it stands to reason, they are complete opposites.

I gave Terrell his makeover at home when I first entered, but I discovered the hairstyle I chose for him was completely blacked out in his portrait panel and notifications. It showed up correctly actually on him in live mode, but I was still leery so I checked in another save on a different sim...

Yep...still showing blacked out in the portrait, while showing as normal on the actual sim.  After scouring the internet I found one post that said this may have to do with poly count and should be fine, but I’ve used this hair before with no problems and I don’t want to take chances, so I settled for a different hair on Terrell.

As soon as the sun was up I sent Alyson for her makeup.  Armando is back to wearing full ancient Egyptian guard garbe again I see! LOL! That Armando, what a character!

Well, my retinas may be burning, but Alyson loves the outfit he picked for her so it’s staying! I gave her a haircut. She seems to be a short hair type of girl so I chose an adorable pixie cut. This is literally the first time I’ve seen her entire face! She’s so cute!

Alyson is a photographer and Terrell is in a band so neither has a rabbit hole job to go to. Alyson worked on teaching Jerrod to walk and Terrell met up with his bandmate, Marisela to jam in the park. Is it just me, or does she seem to be a little into him?

Artist’s Pointe seemed to provide just the inspiration they needed, but they weren’t getting any tips. In fact, to my dismay, “Zombie Roommate” hasn’t had a single gig since forming 3 years ago! I did some digging and found out I had a lot of work to do in order to make them eligible to earn any money as a band...so I may have cheated just a little bit ;) It was my fault after all. 

Back home Jerrod has learned to walk!

Hey some sims have finally arrived to at least listen!  Nice, Marsha...real nice, like you’d be any better at playing piano!

Alyson was invited to the McCalister home for a party, but I called a babysitter and sent Terrell with her; hoping to increase their relationship. Unfortunately, Alyson stuck around only a couple of minutes after sneaking up on Joanna and Terrell spent most of the evening watching Jody while Joanna cooked mac and cheese.

Haha! Don’t you mean thanks for taking care of my kid while I ignored you?

Aww...sleeping in the same bed now.  Maybe that party helped their relationship after all.
