MOTS ON:E DVD Pt. 2

This package was released in September 2021 and covers the online concerts performances filmed on 201010 and 201011. There are 3 DVDs included in this package. The first 2 DVDs cover the actual concert in full from 201010. The 2nd DVD also includes the last part of that day 1 concert as well as day 2s solo stages. Disc 3 includes the merch and poster making film and VCR making film, the Rehersals and practice making films and the concert d-day making film. (300 minutes in total from all 3 DVDs.) You can find my post over the first 2 discs here. And Disc 3 is what I'll cover in this post. Reminder again that this is simply me bullet point talking about this as I go basically, like I'm reacting to a friend. Lol I'll also add here that I found a link on YouTube for the whole 3rd DVD as well that you can all watch. It only goes up to 360p but it's Still pretty good!

Disc 3

Merch and Poster Making Film:

The DVD opens with everyone's individual shoot in a backstage setting for their concert merch. Namjoon telling us about how sad he is that his cherry blossoms haven't bloomed yet on his tree. He is a precious soul. 🥺 NamKookMin in a unit. And so cute. Lol jikooks constant giggles and bickering and the way Jimin pinched JKs nipple so JK pinched his upper thigh and their constant touching. Lmfao Joonie asking to be saved 🤣 "who put me In a unit with these two" will always be so hysterical

They did their shoots for their poster in October 2019. They shot in front of different backdrops while standing in water and they looked so pretty. And then we of course have jikook posing separately in front of some of the backdrops and taking photos of each other for themselves. Lol very cute. And Hobi just watching them giggling.

And when they shot silhouette shots, Hobi asked if ARMY would be able to tell who was who and they started making guesses. And JK just goes "anyone would be able to tell Jimin is right there" 🥺 They did the next shoot in front of an all white backdrop. Lol Everyone teasing about their running poses and Tae taking a photo of Jins silly running pose to keep too 🤣 and everyone kept crashing into each other 😭🤣 and then the softest moment ever in their shoot on the sand. When the director asked JK to please relax his eyes a bit, Jimin goes "just a sec" and then gently makes eye contact with JK and rubs at his neck before JK does soften and then he goes "yeah" and they get back to shooting. Like omg?? Jimin softened him right up and JK clearly loves him so much. And that just felt like SUCH a moment?! One that is so underrated.

VCR Making Film:

VCR was filmed sometime in early 2020, according to their hair colors/styles. JinKook immediately bickering and play fighting and kicking each other. Lmao as always. It's their love language. And Yoongi being so flabbergasted yet endeared by Jins craziness. Lol JK saying that he hopes that even when Jin hyung is 60 he would play around with him like that 😭🥺

During a break in the shoot, they start teasing Jimin about No More Dream MV. And then JK just says how he was at home with Jimin and Jimin brought up No More Dream so they started watching the old MV together. Lol they are just literally ALWAYS together, at home together too. 🥺

Namjoon saying his solo VCR shot is one he is thinking of as a clash of his persona and his ego from within. Jungkook saying his is a reflection of the Jung Kook inside him and the Jungkook of BTS. Taekook filming their scenes with the paint was so cute. Lol I still don't get the purpose but I enjoyed it. The staff telling JK to hold on and be still afterwards but he can't help acting really silly and ended up with a mouthful of paint anyway 😅😂 the consequences of your own actions lmfao. He then changes and moves to shoot for his My Time solo of the VCR with clocks for a "boy experiences time difference." Jimin then does his Filter solo shoot for the VCR and Yoongi isn't even there but he is still trying to pick fights 😂 "shouldn't we break things. Im better at breaking things then yoongi" Lmfao Jimin said his concept for that VCR video was about youth.

Jimin opening day 3 of VCR shooting with the film to play after they Dance to Black Swan and his solo dance. And he says he tried to portray turning into a black swan so wretchedly broken. 😭 he did. The emotions! And he is also just so beautiful and cute while shooting. Yoongi said he shot his where he was looking into his own shadow. Tae playing with the ball on his solo set and saying he wants to give it to his little cousin. 😭 V with kids hurts me, it's so precious. My heart! And the way the members all teased their eldest hyungs with the closing marks. Lmao Suga trying to make them all jump to go to the next segment and then Jin trying to do it too, but then the other 5 just kicking them out of frame like they disappeared on their own 🤣

Practice Making Film:

These days were all filmed sometime during the month of September 2020 I believe. Jikooks matching ponytails era. Lol Jungkookie giving out encouraging butt patts before practice starts 🤣 One of my favorite things about practice making films is seeing Dance Leader Hobi as well as Jimin giving up advice and suggestions. Our main dancers 😍 Lol they work so hard honestly yet still have fun! Jimin crawling on the crowd to the beat and JK smacking his ass to the beat while everyone else just stares. No one knows what they are doing either 🤣🤣

The next days practice staring off with the Boy with Luv umbrellas and Jinkook play fighting with them. "Practice starts off with more bickering between the youngest and oldest." Lol we know editors. It's their love language. Vmins smiles as they play with the umbrella. "Two people who can have the most fun with a single umbrella." Editors so cute. JK starting another day of practice off by picking up all the other members to help them stretch. Lol it was so cute. He is so strong!! Jin offering to do it for JK only to give up before even picking him up at all 🤣 Poor Jungkookie. And the way they all practice standing and jumping over the backup dancers. Lol Jimin feels so bad about it. He keeps shouting sorry! And even tried to go brush off their backs after JK stepped on them too 🤣🤣 He is such a sweetheart. JK moving Jimin away and back to his spot too lmao Its the hand on the waist 🥺 plus I love that this practice has them in full black and white feets. Literally had to toe to mask. Lol

Tae holding onto Hobi for hugs and cuddles. GOD THEY ARE SO CUTE. Jikook joining vhope all sitting together in the corner (our vhopeminkook cuddle line) and are all just playing with a go pro. Lol JK is so cute with it too, zooming into everyone's face. Then we get shots over several days of them practicing their solo stages. And God i love seeing them dance and work so hard. I'm obsessed with all of them. Plus still having fun. Hobi DYING laughing on the floor watching Maknae line perform Ego for him. Lol and then the beautiful vocals we got blessed with when Tae decides to join JK and they sing My Time together during one of his practices. Jikook play boxing together while the rappers practice Ugh. I relate. That IS the mood it creates. Vmin making up cute dances together and Joonie coping it too. Lol

They all gather again to do a full practice run through of the whole concert and they are so all looking so cute. Hobi's outfits are always so on point! 5 of them all in matching mastermind fits (2seok the only ones not in it). I believe this was at the very end of September 2020, same day Jikook posted at 4am. Maybe? Correct me if that's not right!

JinKook once again fighting as everyone else warms up. It IS their warm up I guess. Why are they all warming up by crawling around on all 4s. Lol Everyone exhausted after practicing their intense choreo and jikook just resting together so cutely. Jimin laying in JKs lap. Oof. And then joking around and untying his shoe before leaving lol

Jin and JK sprinting like crazy around the practice room because Jin was trying to take JKs ponytail out. Do those 2 never get tired?!! I love seeing that JK helped make the choreo for My Time himself too. That's honestly SO COOL. And Hobi getting SO EXCITED during Jimins filter practice. Lol Tae giggling like crazy and Hobi whooping during THAT moment. Lol and Hobi even shouting out to JK after too. Literally why 🤣 post over that here.

They really are each other's fanboys. I love it. Jin saying he is worried about having to perform after Jimin does because his was so good and everyone hyping him up. He really did perfect and shouldn't have worried at all! Tae joining in for the Ego dance with the backup dancers and continuing after to show Hobi his dance. Vhope really are so cute. 2seok joking about greeting each other with the Ego/Moon dance moves from now on too. Lol and practice continues straight into day 2 the very next day. Namjoon stretching and jikook being the embodiment of monkey see monkey do.

Jimin needing to take off his shoes super quick between Black swan and his solo Black Swan dance as the group disperses. Lol the way he throws both his shoes and socks at Tae 🤣 Tae running off the "stage" with his stuff yelling the whole time that he was supposed to give one to Namjoon too, not just him 🤣🤣 and Jimin trying not to laugh as he starts his very serious contemporary emotional dance. Lol I love them so much. AND THE WAY JIMIN PRACTICES FILTER WITH REAL PEOPLE AND NOT FAKE ONES. How did one get THAT job?! Lol the way he tried desperately to change his clothes so fast but couldn't make it. Lol the members giggles watching him try to strip so fast 😅🤣 and the way a member or two joins Hobi's Ego practices EVERY SINGLE TIME! And the film ends with Jikooks no more dream iconic lift. Except instead of running along everyone's back, JK just picks Jimin up with EASE and carries him spinning down the line. Lol their SMILES. (Gif from this moment is the very first one in the post)

Jikook and their “Don’t give a **** “ era ?

There is something that I have noticed recently whilst researching for my Live Reaction threads. That is, 2021 seems to have been claimed as the "jikook don't give a **** era." This isn't just from jikookers, but from the fandom and general public too. I have seen this phase used a lot when looking back into 2021 moments and also with the recent release of Memories 2021. One example of this was during the second Seasons Greetings 2022 teaser. Just like the change of reaction to the ramen comments, the way people responded to this was vastly different to how the fandom reacted to 2021 Seasons Greetings. I shall explore where this phrase has come from and what has caused it to start.

The end of 2020 going into 2021

The first teaser for Seasons Greetings 2021 came out on the 9th November 2020, giving us an idea of what the concepts would be to begin with. The second teaser was uploaded on the 11th November. During this video, you could see a clip of Jimin and Jungkook in similar attire. It was obvious by the clips of the other members that Jikook would be in a unit together. 

Fast forward to December 16th and clips from the DVD were slowly being uploaded. However, a certain unit clip was missing from the Twitter timeline. This was Jimin and Jungkook's pizza unit. We did not see it in full until Peaches had uploaded it, causing jikookers to thank them for all their effort. JK accounts at the time were asked why they did not include their unit scene with no response. It included Jeon Jungkook, so why not include the content clip when he is with Park Jimin?  

Around the same time of Seasons Greetings we had a flurry of jikook. MMA Black Swan was on the 6th December, which showed Jimin and Jungkook’s clear dance skill and chemistry. This was quickly followed by the Dynamite Holiday Remix on the 11th, showing a very comfy looking jikook being intimate with each other. We also saw some very sweet moments between jikook in early 2021 when Winter Package was released on February 27th. All of this footage clearly highlighted the bond between Jimin and Jungkook. Nothing new to jikookers who are used to seeing them being close, but to some these clips had started a certain spark.

Butter Era On the 21st May 2021, Butter was released with a press conference and vlive on the same day. After the press conference @bts_bighit posted a group photo. In it, Jimin is leaning his head on Jungkook’s cheek with their bodies turned to each other. There was a slight murmur in the fandom. Nothing big, but Jimin and Jungkook’s stance in the official photo was definitely noticed. It’’s this photo that sparks the catalyst for the idea that Jikook were showing more than previous years in 2021.  We later got Bangtan Bombs of Jikook being together for the photoshoot for Butter and during the making of the MV. You couldn’t ignore that they were often together in these videos where Jimin and Jungkook are playing or goofing around, whilst the other members rested or played with their phones. Again, this is nothing new.

There were no shortages of cute jIkook moments. From cute moments from Run BTS, with Jungkook’s Mother saying she loved Jimin. To interviews with Jikook yet again ending up in their own little worlds. We had Jungkook admitting that he is Jimin's Copycat. With VLives where Jimin and Jungkook can’t keep their eyes or hands off each other. Then seeing Jikook sing “Anyone” together followed by Jimin literally jumping into Jungkook’s arms. Something that is clearly natural between them. Throughout the entire year, there were countless clips of Jikook being together.

The End of 2021

Just like 2020 there was an influx of Jikook towards the end of the year. On September 10th we got the release of MOTS ON:E DVD, with the famous hickey clip. Followed by Jimin and Jungkook posting selcas whilst it was trending. A few days later,  a selca was posted of Jikook together at the airport on their way to the UN. With some saying it reflected a couples trend at the time. At the event itself, Jungkook gave Jimin a look of support after he lost his place and defended him during the Vlive afterwards. You will know from other clips that Jikook communicates through looks or smiles, giving support even in important events.

On Jimin’s Birthday we got the very domestic Vlive, where Jimin rang for Jungkook. Jungkook arrived very quickly and the two could NOT stop holding hands and being very sweet together until Jimin continued his vlive alone again. You could not deny the vibes here as soon as Jungkook entered the room. The same happened during the Vlive with Jobi, Tae, Jimin and JK in America. As soon as Jungkook was there, JImin lit up and his body language changed. The tones they both used. The way they acted and spoke about each other. ARMY must have felt the same way, because this VLive had such a positive reaction and they recognised the same behaviour in future vlives.

It had been a long time since BTS had performed in front of an audience. The atmosphere was huge in the US and Seoul. You will see Jikook behave the same way in 2021 and 2022 as they have in previous years. The fun dances, the flirting, the butt smacking. All of it. However, to those that are unaware it was like they needed a reminder. The reactions to all the concert performances in terms of Jikook were the loudest. ARMY could not believe that Jikook was doing this in front of so many people in a stadium. Forgetting moments at locations such as Rose Bowl and Hamilton.

To me, it is obvious that 2021 was not a “don’t give a **** era” for Jikook. It was just a period of time where the fandom and public became more aware of them. They have always had fun during DNA. Always supported each other. Always behaved the same way. However, this time, some ARMY have indeed opened their eyes. It’s not just jokes that last a few days, some are really looking back and asking themselves if there is something there. It’s not Jikook that has changed, it’s how they are perceived by their own fandom.

So in conclusion, there is absolutely nothing that can be lost to translation or cultural difference or anything like that here. The night before the rehearsal, the two of them had a drink, Jungkook lifted Jimin up bridal style, and spun him around until Jimin was dizzy enough to bite his neck to get him to stop. That's the explanation that the two of them gave to the staff, to the members, and to the millions of army wondering about where the bruise on JK's neck came from. Court dismissed! I need a drink.

Hii i wanted to ask you something. Taekookers said that tae and jk kissed each others cheeks in front of members . Is that true ? I mean i am a baby army so i dont know. Do there are things that only taekook did but jk never did with jimin ? I usually saw him being shy with jm . Soemtimes he is proud gay hehe . Sorry. But mostly he did not do any kissing and all. Hi, do you remember when Jimin wiped the dirt off one of the dancers back and Jungkook moved him away ? I think this is one of Jungkook's boundaries, like the perilla leaf.

Of which Jimin watched JK practice the move where he steps on and over the backup dancers, and then politely wiped their shirts off afterwards? And then JK came back and politely moved Jimin out of the way. So they could you know reset up the move and get ready for the next round of practice? Lol of stepping on their backs again?

This... I don't think this is it. Lol I think you are looking for meaning when the obvious is right in front of you and has nothing to do with jikook. All I take from this moment is the matching black and white couple fits, Jimin's shoes being WAY too big for his feet, the soft way JK held his waist and gently nudged him out of his way.

Not, idk, jealousy? Over Jimin brushing the back up dancers shirts back down for them as they are crouched on the floor being stood upon? Especially because they love their backup dancers!! Lol

So I don't think lightly touching their dancers is going to be a boundary....?? Sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️ of all the moments to use as an example for boundaries and you skip right over the super obvious hickey boundary!! Lol the way JK yanked his head away from everyone else when they went to go touch his hickey, even though Jimin had his hands all over it right before. "The only person who can touch my hickey is the one who gave it to me" energy to the max. Lol

They were very cute in these fits. Soooo cute. I don't see any issues of boundary crossing or boundary lines though in those dance practice clips. Like at all. Sorry I disagree! Just my two cents! 💜 Thanks for the ask though!!

Did you finish watching jikook 2018 timeline? What do you think overall about jikook in 2018? What something stood out for you? Maybe you noticed something interesting after watching that 1,5 hour video?

So, like a week later I've finally finished the video yesterday 😅 this is the pace at which I watch things nowadays.

I actually talked about 2018 on one of the first times I posted in this blog mid 2021, I looked for the post and it was this:

"Pretty much all of their interactions that year would make me feel giddy and secondhand embarrassment. It was also the year that I actually started seeing them as really really close and connected in ways that other members didn’t seem connected. It was the year where Jimin said he promised Jungkook he’d go to the moon with him.

I don’t think they’ve had many moments as soft as them in the 2018 dinner Festa. The boyfriend vibes and all those cheesy jokes that jikookers make about them that day? Totally not jokes at all, the vibes were there. Jimin could not keep his hands off Jungkook and not in funny, over the top ways, but there was just so much affection and (I hate this word but it’s one of the few moments where I really feel like it’s there) domesticity. I’ve honestly been missing that kind of feeling from them for two years now. Saw it briefly in the MOTS DVD when Jimin is laying with his head on JK’s legs on the practice room floor.

So in 2018 to me it was like things were slowly building up to something but that peak never came, it only kept and kept on building up. The buildup was particularly heavy during Love Yourself tour. I felt like there was a lot of attraction between them during those days, they had a "sexy" energy to them and I felt Jimin was even more in want of Jungkook’s attention. (That BV3 episode before they leave for Malta where they’re drinking and JK says he’ll drive and JM says “No, you have to be my side” like????). And during the tour, it felt like Jimin was finally getting the attention he wanted from Jungkook. Never before 2018 I felt that way, never before 2018 I felt like JK might’ve been interested in Jimin in the same ways Jimin seemed interested in JK."

("No, you have to be my side” is now for me next to "I get obsessive when Jungkook doesn't answer my calls" because wow I would like to know what goes through Jimin's mind to make comments like that T_T)

I've been watching the videos they post for every year of course, even if I saw every moment from 2017 onwards while they happened, I still like watching them. I've often wondered how do people who became fans recently see them, what do they see when they watch compilations, so I honestly started watching because I was trying to understand how it felt looking back and seeing all that for the first time 😅 and also because I'm open to my interpretation changing. So far it hasn't changed, tho. 2018 is still to me the year when their dynamic really changed (if we're talking about friendship to liking liking each other), and when there were moments that are not completely on the platonic side. And I'm guessing the 2019 video will be even more "obvious".

I want to say tho, that seeing it all in a compilation, it doesn't feel the same as when you're watching those moments happen in real time (like the concerts), or when the content is just released. I think there are some moments that feel more special while they're happening because they're happening around a specific context that makes their actions more meaningful. When you watch compilations, there's not much context. Likewise, as suspicious and intense as their interactions might look when watching all the moments together, there's a lot that's not there, like interactions they have with the other members. As I've said before, it's really easy to see jikook (and any other ship) 100% undoubtdly as an item when you're only focusing on them. There's also a sense of anticipation that one feels when the content is released versus when you're looking back on it. So, yeah. It's definitely more fun with that feeling of anticipation.

I was once again reminded that the days of muster Japan in April/May and the days of the tour Jimin probably spent like 100 days stuck to Jungkook's back, he's crazy. He really touched Jungkook so much.

I still see Jimin during that year as if he was going through some phase of puppy love. I think maybe that phase has ended right now, tho sometimes it's still there. Maybe not in actions like him touching JK for no reason, but in the way he smiles and looks at JK, it's still there. Back then I didn't, and I still don't see that it was the same from Jungkook side; at least it wasn't so until the tour. I keep repeating myself, but I started seeing it from JK during the tour and from then on it was more intense as days went by.

There's a difference between then and now in Jimin not posting on social media anymore, and that he's really not all over JK like he was during those days. There's also a difference in the way that now, in 2022, it finally does feel more like their interactions are 50/50 and it's not all Jimin's initiative or efforts.

One random thing that I remember: this is the song they were listening to on the boat in Malta. It's from an anime movie called The Girl Who Leaped Through Time. I watched it back then in 2018 when Jimin tweeted it and people said it was that song; the movie used to be on Netflix but at least for me it's not there anymore. It was really lovely! I think I'm going to watch it again because I don't remember much.

I think it was a really exciting year. MMA still feels almost like fiction lmao.

Jikook and the day counting

I’m going to start this post by saying this is an opinion post, the numbers are there, if they mean something only JM and JK know.  It’s up to each and every one to decide for themselves if they want to see it as meaningful or not.

In any case I felt I had to share this with you.

Day counting is something Jikook do.

At first it might have seemed to me like a coincidence but there are too many of them, and I think the instance that totally convinced me that they do this, that this is something important to them, was JM standing up at the Seoul concert with his “2nd grade, class 3, number 15″ on the 2315 day count from 8 November 2015.

This is re-occurring with the two.  Something that I, for one, have decided not to ignore, even if it’s not something practiced in my own culture.

Yesterday both JK (first) and JM (second) posted a sum of 3 posts.

I do know there was math done about the post times (see end of my post for links), even talk about the clip JK chose to share, the timing, the lyrics, but that’s not what I wanted to talk about here.

What I did want to talk about was the day counting once again.

Looking at these 3 posts of theirs, seemingly there is no connection.

Both posted on 10/08/2022 consecutively (JM’s post came 37 min. after JK’s last).

First of all, them posting consecutively isn’t something that happens too often.  It happens, but usually we find some kind of link, a thread between the two posts, a reason, like after the hickey came out in the MOTS ON:E dvd.

So, yesterday I was asked if I find that thread, a connection.  If I think the posts are linked somehow.  Is there a reason JK and JM both posted consecutively.

I didn‘t have an answer because on the surface the posts seem to have nothing to do with each other.  

Nothing that on the surface connects JM and JK together (well, apart from JM’s T-shirt, one we are familiar with, one we’ve seen him wear in the past, one that says “to the moon and back”, when there is one specific person I know of that JM said he would go to the moon with..).  

No shared thread between the three posts, not on the surface.  

JK is promoting Bad decisions and sharing a photo from his Vlog, while JM is sharing a photo with Tommy Brown  (that was already shared by Tommy Brown on his IG account).  Supposedly nothing what so ever to connect those three posts.

And then I saw this Twitter post this morning.

And I went oh...

JK’s birthday being 9/1 (or 1/9 depending where you are from)

JM’s number being 13, his birthday 10/13 or 13/10 (9+1=10) 

Them posting a sum of 3 posts.

And I noticed something else too...

This part has to be a coincidence.

The way these numbers align, is it a coincidence once again?

Knowing JM does the day counting.

Seeing all these numbers, I am having a hard time trying to convince myself this is only a coincidence, again.

Just Deal With It

Again jikook breathed, and since we can't enjoy anything in this house, people started to invalidate their moment:

In a video from MOTS ON:E DVDs, JM, and JK say that were having fun the night before their solo rehearsals, that night, Jk lifts JM up and spins him around and ignores JM wanting to be put down, so JM bites JK's neck. I ignore the fact that it doesn't look like a bite mark and consider it as a bite. Right after this moment getting viral, we had these reactions form antis: 

1. I used to do this with my siblings: Okay, but how old were you when you did this? Jikook are two grown men in their mid-twenties. They are millionaires and have their independent adult lives. Everyone at that age has a personal life and boundaries with friends and siblings. Don't compare them with some kids playing around.

2. This is fanservice: How something that didn't happen in front of the camera, can be considered as fanservice? Were they doing fanservice the night before their rehearsal, where there were no cameras? Is this something next level or do you think all of their lives is a lie? They are humans ffs, They don't work 24/7, they live their lives sometimes.

3. Someone else did it to JK, and JM was covering for him: Did anyone notice the "bite" on Jk's neck before this footage being released? If they were trying to cover a hicky, why did they show it in the first place? I bet some cuts and edits and makeup would work, and no one would notice anything.

Pack it up. This is the real Jikook, and you have no option other than accepting them the way they are or leave them alone.

I haven't said anything here because who reads blog entries anyway, and why fuck up other people's feeds but then I remembered I probably have nine followers. Sorry y'all.

Tomorrow we bury my sister. Her ashes, anyway. She died a couple of weeks ago. She was 28 years old and maybe it was a heroin overdose or maybe it was the pneumonia she'd had for awhile or maybe she wanted to get gone, any and all those things are possible and maybe probable. I am now my parents' only daughter again and let me tell you it sucks ass in a way that you can't understand unless you've been there when that phone call comes in and your almost 80 year old mother makes a noise that isn't human and everything in you does not want to grab that phone from her but you can't just let her hold onto it like that. So I took it and the boyfriend had stayed out all night and gotten home in the morning and found her dead and called 911 and then us and I talked to the paramedics and the cops and I had to tell them my parents are elderly, I'll be taking point on this, and I think I maybe reblogged a cute jikook post because that's what dissociatives do in times of crisis. Fast forward ten hours and I had driven the parents to another state, made arrangements for cremation and a (gulp) body viewing for literally the next morning and notified everyone I could think of that would care or need to know. One task melted into another and then it was time to look at her and I've been a nurse nearly as long as my sister was alive, I knew what to expect but my parents did not. Let the maladaptive daydreaming commence between tasks. I almost convinced myself the Jeon Jeongguk is straight. Almost. I picked an urn and picked up the remains of the day and my sister and drove my parents two states back home while we fielded intrusive questions about funerals and memorials which we were not gonna have so someone else threw a BYOB and published it in the paper, cool. She would have loved it. I didn't go. I left and came home with the shattered hearts of my parents as souvenirs. Then I bought a car because why the fuck not. I've always wanted a cute little Mini Cooper and it's not like I had anything else to do and I paid cash and bought insurance and drove off the lot with it so now I have a car named J-Mini (get it get it) because nothing like a knee jerk major purchase in the middle of intense grief, right? My father picked out my sister's plot because my mother couldn't go and I was... buying a car. That wasn't my best day but it was really the only day I checked out completely. I mean except the other five to seven business days I don't remember but I did stuff because my dad says I fed them and made sure they ate and took care of things. I'm good at that. Also kookmin and Memories 20 why hasn't that shipped yet and I think I also got the MOTS ON;E DVD set and finished my Funko Pop set. Goals, kids. Gotta achieve goals. And I also redid my parents upstairs guest suite and turned it into my office because the next novel is not gonna write itself. A little death opens up my dad's wallet and we are both OCD writers who are task oriented and very good at finding poor coping mechanisms for trauma. It's a nice office and can still function as a guest room (it's a huge room). I put the Keurig I bought so my mom would have okay coffee before viewing her daughter's body in my new office. Just brewed the first cup today and it tastes like death to me but what are you gonna do, it's salted caramel death at least. So I'm sitting in my new office looking out the plantation shutters that make up the view, idly watching my new car sit in its cute parking spot and planning the next 36 hours. Her flowers should get here soon. I ordered real ones, the rainbow tie dye looking roses. We're not supposed to take them to the cremation garden where her headstone will be because small plots and what the fuck ever seriously do not tell me that my mother cannot bring her baby girl flowers. She's dead, assholes. She's not coming back and she didn't say goodbye and the first

time my father had seen his little girl in almost two years she was cold and decidedly nonverbal and had a bruise on the tip of her nose nobody could explain and I later figured out was from her puppy trying to boop it to wake her up when she wasn't going to be waking up ever again. Fuck that. Flowers it is. I'm on food takeout duty and also my sister's best guy friend of forever might be driving here for the interment, we didn't tell most people when it was and he's nine hours away but he hasn't let us know if he's gonna stay here or what so I guess it's good the guest room office is clean, he has three twin beds to choose from so I'll probably only change the sheets on two of them because hospitality roulette seems fair given that the service is fucking tomorrow and we're trying to plan shit over here. That's a run-on sentence kids. I guess maybe the rest of the day is not snapping at people. I watered my mom's extensive flower garden but I do that every day. I took the small envelope of extra ashes from my dad because he broke down and I put them in a pretty butterfly notecard with a pink envelope and stashed my sister's nose or fingertips or random internal tissues neatly sealed in my jewelry box. Why we have them when the rest of her is already at the cemetery is because people ASKED FOR THEM like wtf why are we making earrings out of my dead sister but my parents said yes before they said no. And I called the funeral home and ARRANGED THIS SHIT so now I get to handle it. Guess I'll dole them out a gram at a time like cocaine. Oddly fitting I suppose, that part of her is in what amounts to a heroin baggie. Don't shoot up, kids. Just don't. And if you must shoot up make sure you have Narcan around and someone available to give it to you. And that your dealer isn't cutting with fentanyl or some shit. Also make sure you're not physically sick with pneumonia that might or might not have been COVID Delta, we don't know yet because toxicology and death certificates take time and I'm in charge of bugging the coroner and just haven't wanted to have to tell my parents that YES SHE WAS HIGH AF WE BEEN KNEW THERE WAS A FUCKING NEEDLE IN BED WITH HER JFC I mean they know but they'd rather it be COVID and who can blame them. Also to my sister if you offed yourself I get it and I'm not mad at you most of the time. I do understand why and frankly it might have been kinder to do it than to keep siphoning rent every month and your drug money and living expenses on the weekly if that's how you were gonna keep living, because your drama was constant and painful and caused a lot of shit and it wasn't fun for you or anyone else. But I love you and I'm so sorry you hurt so much that you had to handle it that way. And I'm sorry I'm so much older than you'll ever be and that I survived and you didn't. If it helps, you were always loved. I'll teach your kiddo all the good things. Honestly the most painful thing you did was the best thing when you gave him up. He's so bright and artistic like you and his parents love him and l get to see him a lot even if it's only on video. I visited him right after I told you goodbye and let him go wild on my Amazon and told him you love him too, that you might not be here but you'll always love him and look out for him wherever you are.
