it's a testament to how much I love my friend and how strongly I feel about tumblr as an art-sharing platform that I recommended she come to tumblr to share her art even though her doing so would inevitably lead to her following me on main

#I love you more than I hate the thought of you being privy to my personal blog #that said I do feel pretty safe in the knowledge that she is probably not going to come here lol #she had asked on stream where people ARE with their art and set up a poll-- in which most people responded twitter #which like. she was asking (mostly) other artists so idk but in MY experience artists have been flooding off twitter in droves #rats from a sinking ship #scattering to the various twitter-likes or returning here to the primordial seas #all of which I did also say in chat lol #jill after the poll ended: hang on I have to say 'you were right' to my husband :')#me: bestie I love him but your science teacher husband does not know shit about fuck about the art scene on twitter dot hell #to BE fair my personal metric for 'places to share art' has nothing to do with 'good places to Build An Audience'#and everything to do with formatting and lack of algorithms #tumblr is infamously not... like... a GROWING platform or anything lol. like man I dunno. it's rough out there in general #ANYWAY. bullet dodged I guess lol no irl friends allowed in here that weren't here from the beginning thanks #about me #irl frens
