A little rant about the John Paul rape storyline...

All over twitter and tumblr today all I've seen is people complaining how long this storyline of going on for and tbh it's pissing me off quite a bit because people seem to be not realising the importance of it. 1. YOU DONT GET OVER RAPE THAT EASILY Getting over rape is a long process which takes ages because of several reasons such as getting back to daily routine and being intimate( hugging,touching etc) with people without fear. For John Paul he is having to see his Finn EVERY DAY so obviously that's going to hinder his recovery process! 2. Hollyoaks are trying to portray this story as close to real life as possible. They've put a lot of research into this as it is a hard hitting and touching subject and not something that's easily just washed away. Thy obviously know( talking to male rape victims) how long on average they take to recover so obviously to do this storyline justice they have to keep in "real time"!! I hope I've got my pint across. Although I can't wait until everyone finds out what Finn has done because he needs to be punished the vile scum!!
