LIGHT, METAL, WOOD- The Future of Building Materials
As architects we have the ability to design and build structures that will change how the future looks. When looking at materials that can do such a thing, we turn to the idea of Light, the natural feel of wood, and the protective element that is metal. Buildings that have been destroyed and bombed still have life, not much but enough to build up from. The design challenge will be to take the existing buildings as is and create architecture that sits in harmony with the remnants and history of the building. Light, wood, and steel will have to be manipulated and carefully distorted to fit in and tell the story of the building. In the future we have two choices, rebuild or remake. I propose that we rebuild the world we live in.

It wasn’t until this morning, the day after my final thesis presentation, that I realized I participated in my last Crit ever.
