Let's talk politics

As I live life and get through each and everyday, I realize more and more that talking about people, drama, and/or who he/she is dating [just gossiping in general] is not important at all. Don't get me wrong, I could watch some Gossip Girl all day long, but that's the difference between TV & reality. I've finally come to notice, my group of friends here at this lovely institution that I attend are always talking about each other. God knows what they're saying about me when I'm not there. That's another thing I realized, everyone will talk behind your back --I'm definitely guilty of that-- but that doesn't mean they hate you. Anyways, I don't want to gossip. I want to talk about what's happening in the world. I want to talk about things beneficial to myself in the long run, things affecting me & everyone around me. I want to talk about politics; they want to talk about pointless things that doesn't affect them in any way possible & quite frankly, I'm losing interest in them.
