fafnir and kanna are definitely the most explicit examples, the characters i could make a genuine textual case for, (especially fafnir,) but it's really hard to not see it as a theme woven throughout the entire show. elma's introductory arc is all about adapting to and making sense of human society, and all the dragons deal with being a fish out of water to some extent. even if they're just meant to be otakus, kobayashi and takiya are both extremely knowledgeable about maids (and ready to infodump about them at a moment's notice.) fafnir's food sensitivity is repeatedly brought up, but never as a joke at his expense.

lot of people take the idea they might be an oppressor like it's some kind of curse or marks them or makes them fundamentally irredeemable.
