Russel Crowe talking about his choice to play a gay man, right after his first big role as a nazi in romper stomper to immediately repel any nazis who might have become a fan of him because of that film:

this is him in the movie btw and it's really so incredible! I've never seen anything like it and the central friendship between father and son is incredible! if you're put off by the crude language i'd still encourage to watch till the end.
(spoilers: it's not a happy ending per se but a very human one and at least the queer romance ends with a happy outlook on the future.)
