Leo’s day had started out entirely normal. He’d made himself tea, had breakfast, showered, and the next thing on his to do list was to go shopping. The bread had gone stale days before, and if he wanted a decent lunch, a trip to the grocery store was in order.

Interrupting an undercover SHIELD op while they tried to get Hydra information had not been on his to do list when he woke up that morning.

He still remembered Jemma’s threat from weeks before, vividly, but it couldn’t hurt to linger in the cracker aisle for a few minutes longer and eavesdrop while browser for his favorite flavor of wheat thins. Unfortunately, he’d been entirely wrong. Browsing during that extra minute and a half had made it so that the Hydra agent could make a clean getaway and block off most of the aisle so that no one could go after him.

And that was the reason why he was sitting on the uncomfortable vault mattress, bouncing a bit to pass the time. As soon as things were cleared up, he’d be able to go home -- he did have other things to do that day besides play prisoner to his former team.
