tired rn but also really getting into the research mood w/ the little bits i've read about queer history lately and the gay 80s music playlist i've been listening to on repeat
#ps.txt#i use the term 'gay music' somewhat lightly for this playlist but ik there are queer artists on it and i am enjoying it!#read a long steddie fic in one sitting yesterday that was like 'here let me tell about queer music in the 80s' in all the end notes#it was fascinating and i love bronski beat now#the playlist is mostly 'here's some 80s music' but there's a lot of 'the singer who fronted this band was gay' 'this band was openly gay'#and some songs that were important to queer people at the time even if the artists weren't queer#it's interesting#i like way more than i thought i would lol#b/n this and the king in the sun playlist i have i also am a billy joel fan now#just a bit#piano man slaps SO FUCKING HARD OK#it's. just so good#reminds me a lot of mr tamborine man <3#i also like my life bc it reminds me of oaken#k that's enough rambling in the tags im too sleepy 4 this
