diluc being made captain at 14 means that he was already a very high rank when he went through puberty, which means that he probably had his voice break at the most awkward times when ordering his knights around, which means that kaeya probably made fun of him for it

i like to think that diluc consoled himself by saying that he would bully kaeya twice as hard when his voice broke - only for kaeya's voice to deepen gracefully and never break. diluc is still mad about that
