#kamukura is so underrated and it pains me

Finally got around to listening to "what was I made for" and all i could think of was kamukura

I just love Kamukura soooo much, like I can’t help it? Characters who’ve had no one ever show them kindness and as a result lack normal emotional reactions to things are my fucking jam. No one thinks of what he might be thinking or feeling because it doesn’t matter to them. He might not react to being shown genuine kindness in a way that makes sense to most but it does mean something to him. I just... I love him so much and you’re like the only person who seems to see his character the way I do

Kamukura’s so full of untapped potential and not just because he has all the talents. ;3;

Just the way this kind of person would think, what would matter to them, how such an extreme short life would have affected them are all so interesting, if painful. Kamukura’s super underrated and underappreciated when he actually conveys a lot in such a short time!!! I mean, for someone so bored and unmotivated, he’s very driven in the games and even in Hinata’s head, he’s shown conveying some pretty heavy thoughts. Kamukura has a lot going through his mind, I think, and it’s just unfair how everyone (especially the writers) discredits or just, doesn’t even acknowledge his initial narrative of self-destruction for the sake of vengeance in addition to all the messed up stuff he’s been through. It’s just such a clusterfuck of tragedy that gets written off as “emotionless monster” (when that couldn’t be further from the truth) or as…

…that which we don’t acknowledge because it’s stupid and makes no sense. =3=

Regardless!!! Kamukura is good and great and I love him very, very much!!!!

He’s a very complicated character because he’s dehumanized in so many ways, like…the extreme of being crushed by high school pressures to excel and mistreatment as a direct result, and I think there’s something very striking about that. Especially since he still has very human struggles, albeit ones that often are hidden from the public eye. (Which makes him extra important to me, I think.)
