im obsessed with the way you portrayed jade in the story. like its not everyday that i get to see him written in a way that totally doesnt hide his insanity at all. reading monops's reflection was just so <33 aaa tysm for writing smth so amazing!!!

you mentioned before that monops!jade is very "rotten girl grotesque romance", and i totally agree, but i was actually reminded of another old yandere vocaloid song when i read the fic! idk if you know it, but its called "pure love restraint". its a really good song hehe, you should totally check it out if you dont already know it!

oh also speaking of songs, i recently started listening to loveit? by biz since you mentioned it a while ago, and i love the song so much >< do you happen to have any other song recommendations because clearly you have great taste in music~

AAAAA THANK YOU!!!!! >w< I'm so happy you enjoyed Monops's Reflection!!!! Jade is so wildly deranged in that fic. He truly is the embodiment of the harsh, brutal depths he hails from. ;;;; seeing Reader in the storage closet with Floyd pushed him over the edge he'd been teetering on for so long now. T^T he's far surpassed the point of no return. I had so much fun finishing this fic and portraying Jade in such a terrifying manner. And poor Reader had no idea what hid behind that seemingly pleasant smile of his until it was too late...

There are so many layers to Monops!Jade. How he gets so disgusted at the sight and thought of you with anyone else. How it's not really sexual gratification he's after; he's just chasing some thrill he's yet to figure out in its entirety, which is why he doesn't touch you at all during the non-con scene. Because it's not your pleasure he cares about; he could care less whether you feel good or not. How his sanity is so thin and threadbare that it's hardly there at all. How he fails to recognize that, despite the similarities he shares with Floyd, he's still his own person, still different, but not different enough for you to look his way, apparently. And then there's the meaning of Monops, which is a "one-eyed creature." >:D aaaaa he's truly the worst.

OOOOO "true love restraint"!!!!!!! I love that song!!! That song definitely has the vibes that Monops!Jade exudes!! And I'm happy you enjoyed listening to "loveit." :D it's a very good song, but then all of biz's songs are amazing!!!

as for advice on starting up a yandere blog, let's see... here are some things i'd recommend keeping in mind:

it's completely normal not to get much interaction within the first month or so of posting, don't let it get you down! i don't think i consistently started to get asks until around six months into posting frequently on this blog. just keep posting your writing and putting it into the tags.

be wary of requests, i've seen so many writers burn themselves out because they try to write for every request they receive. it's okay to prioritize the ideas you like the most and not write for everything that gets sent in. if anyone tries to guilt you for that, it's their issue, writers are human above all else. not beep boop content output machines.

honestly, the best way to get the ball rolling (imo) is to just go crazy for the characters you like. you'll end up attracting followers who are fans of that character too, you can build off their ideas and vice versa. it's really fun. idk why, maybe it's because i'm such a people pleaser at heart, but i used to feel like i need to write for a wide variety of characters rather than just focusing on the couple i adore the most. this might just be a me thing though. you'll feel the most inspired when writing for your all time favorites, so in case other people feel/have felt that way too, it's okay to focus on your faves.

if you're starting to feel burnt out, you don't have to soldier on. it's okay to take breaks and catch your breath. while there are times where writing is difficult, if it's ever getting to the point you're dreading it more than enjoying it, taking a step back is the most helpful thing you can do for yourself. have fun with your hobby and try not to put too much pressure on yourself.

Fragaria Memories Red Bouquet Ep 1 Thoughts

So the Strawberry King is missing and then the SEEDS came into Fragaria World. Obviously connected

I mentioned this in a previous post, but the Strawberry King is a real Sanrio Mascot. He looks like this

He's the ruler of the Strawberry Kingdom, which, apparently, has 7 other children that dress like him

They're referred to as angels (??), and they debuted in 1975. Interesting how the story is using this guy as a figure and saying "lmao we don't know where he is". Anyways, history lesson over

Kinda interested in how the abilities of the knights are going to play out here. Magic is obviously a factor, but we don't know too much about how they use it. It's a limitation of medium used for the story, though maybe we might see it in the MVs.

Hallritt appears to be the least experienced knight among the cast, although given how he one-shots a SEED despite having never seen one before means he's likely Really Cracked at fighting. He also dodges the ambush of the other knights pretty well.

Merold caught me off guard like, really hard. I actually looked up his introduction because I was like "wait did they say he was Like That?" and yeah, he's just Like That.

Actually, he's so funny. Making himself home in Romarriche's place and eating his candy. He does seem like a massive piece of work, especially given what he says to Hallritt in the preview for the 2nd ep

He seems to just sort of have this condescending attitude to others, which his feats only exacerbate. I can see why Kurode was so upset and ran away.

Now I'm going to talk about the topic that caught my attention first, the SEEDs

Apparently, their main abilities is that they are able to cause things to disappear.

In the Voice Drama, they were making produce and shop items disappear, but the opening narration notes that they do this with people.

Also like how SEED's actually bloom, that's a cool feature

Anyways, I wanted to state my theories about how the story will unfold.

One of the big theories floating around is that this is a Madoka Magica situation, and the story is a time loop. This is based on the music videos that were released prior for each Bouquet. You can find them here, here, and here.

That said, after learning this information about the SEEDs, I don't think there's a time loop at all.

There's absolutely a loop, but I think what's happening is that everyone is forgetting what truly happened in the past as the SEEDs keep making everyone's memories disappear. There's a lot of emphasis on the past, even this Drama mentions it in regards to a legend of the Fragarian Knights of the Red Continent's past, but I think that they are just a different flavor of the main cast. It's just that everyone keeps repeating their choices because they're stuck never knowing or learning the mistakes of their past.

Maybe. This might be debunked hard when the 2nd Voice Drama drops. But who knows.

Anyways, those are my thoughts for the Drama. I hope there's more worldbuilding because the fairy tale-esque setting of the series is just appealing to me.

I can't estimate when the next update will be posted, but I have been working on it in between TMDG mwahaha. >:) it will be a heavy chapter!

Speaking of TMDG (The Most Dangerous Game), it is indeed a Jade story! I've been working on it for many months, and it will probably be the most fluffiest yan!Jade I've ever written. The basic plot follows Jade who agrees to help you get more comfortable talking to Floyd (so you can eventually confess) by doing perfect impressions. But the line between Jade and Floyd blurs and you get swept up in his theatrics despite yourself. >_< it's a story with a romantic comedy feeling! I'm very excited to finish and post it!!!

Truthfully, I wasn't expecting to receive so many lovely messages regarding my birthday and it surprised me when others even remembered the date! :O so I'm very happy to read and reply to all of them (forgive the influx of birthday-posting. ^^;;;;). You are also an amazing person and when it's your birthday I will be the first to celebrate you!!!!!!

As for special things,,, my birthday was wonderful! I usually dread my birthday, but this year I was excited!! When it became midnight, I drank some of the wine I'd gotten as a gift during the summer. I fell asleep warm and fuzzy and very tipsy hehe. And then I woke in the morning, did plenty of stretches, said hello to each of my houseplants, opened the curtains for sunshine, and ate a yummy birthday breakfast. :D

I planned to do uni assignments, but then I realized it wouldn't be a fun way to celebrate my birthday (more so a punishment ;;;) and so I went thrifting for new clothes instead!!!!! I also wrote a little more of tmdg!!! I was productive and even finished the Mostro Lounge scene!! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

Even though it may not seem very exciting, it was one of the happiest birthdays I've ever had!!!!

i just wanted to say thanks for the advice you gave me! it was really reassuring to read, cause i was a bit worried about how early i'd start getting requests and whether or not i need to write for popular characters over the ones i like.

tbh you're such a big inspiration for me! i really love the way you write, especially your dialogue between the reader and other characters. i also think it's really cool how you sometimes write certain yandere traits to be more subtle. i think it's kinda hard to write the less overt side of yandere characters, like manipulation and other stuff like that.

thank you so very much for your encouragement <3 i just really enjoy the nuances of psychological horror. it's fun to think about why a character could plausibly go yandere and what elements of themself they'd retain/change. everyone can be driven to extremes and exploring that is fun.
